Job Title: Principal Cloud Operations Engineer

Locations: Pune/ Ahmedabad/ Bangalore

Reports to: Senior Manager, Cloud Operations.

A Principal Cloud Operations Engineer is an extremely critical role within Conga\xe2\x80\x99s Cloud Ops team, and they will contribute to Cloud platform-level design, development, and implementation of critical business enterprise applications. This individual will perform a role similar to a Technical Lead and will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Professional Services, Sales Engineering, DevOps, and Technical Services in support of Conga\xe2\x80\x99 SaaS platform, production environments and customers. The primary focus and responsibility will pertain to support of Conga\xe2\x80\x99s Enterprise SaaS platform on Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, and IBM Cloud Services. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in supporting cloud operations that ensures >99.9% uptime and an aptitude and ability to lead in-depth technical discussions.

Coaching and mentoring new team members on the proper use of various cloud-based services will be the key.

Are you the person we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for?

Related experience. You should have around 10-14 years of experience to manage, support highly scalable production systems by review, evaluate, specify, design, maintain, and document various system architecture, configuration, availability monitoring, and performance improvements. 5+ years of cloud-based IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS experience preferably with AWS Compute, Container, Kubernetes, Storage, Database and Network Services. 2+ years of experience into Strong scripting and automation skills and experience (CI/CD, Python, PowerShell, Terraform and Cloud Formation).

Design and Build. Knowledge and experience using Container technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker). Experience into managing, supporting Cloud IaaS/PaaS/SaaS environments on 24x7x365 basis. You will be responsible to Design, build, test, deploy, administer, monitor, and maintain 24x7 Cloud-based services for all our new and existing product lines on public clouds.

Cloud Architecture. Define overall Cloud reference architecture and manage its overall implementation for the production systems. Provide design & architecture solutions to improve service availability, performance and security for both production systems and database systems. Implement Infrastructure automation including application/services deployment & upgrades through CI/CD, Scripting (E.g., Shell, Python, CloudFormation, Terraform, Docker).

Tools and certifications. AWS Certifications in Solutions Architecture, DevOps, or other specialty. Experience implementing AWS services and solutions on Customer Projects.

But where you really shine is with your ability to identify creative solutions to unique customer requirements. This is critical for ensuring our customer issues are resolved in a manner that meets or exceeds their expectations without increasing their costs.

Clear, deliberate, and collaborative communicator. You don\xe2\x80\x99t just engage in collaborative discussions; you initiate them regularly. You are clear and concise when you speak and write -- and even creative in terms of ensuring your messages are received and understood. You leave no room for assumptions or misunderstandings. It\xe2\x80\x99s what sets you apart from the rest.

Willingness to work rotational shifts. Let\xe2\x80\x99s face it- our customers are in various time zones, so we need to support them. Our analysts can-if needed-be scheduled on rotational shifts and take turns carrying papers.

Willingness and flexibility to work and support 24x7x365 Production Operations. (rotational shifts)

Industry expertise. That\xe2\x80\x99s a fact about understanding of the software as a service (Saas) industry would allow you to hit the ground running.

Education. A bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
