Position Title: Pricing Manager

Job Location: Bangalore, KA-India

Job Purpose

The Retail Electric Power Solutions (REPS) team provides reliable power solutions for Caterpillar customers globally. The work of a Pricing Manager includes performing product price reviews (internal and external), review product profitability, maintain price lists, analyze market environment (transaction price level for both Caterpillar and other brands of generators, New Product Introduction); and administration/evaluation of special pricing assessments (SPARS, sales variance programs, Product Line Cascades) for current and future product (NPI); analyzing revenue contribution from volume, PINS and price. Supervises a revenue team by training, managing, and directing employees that are providing revenue support work for Caterpillar products (machines, engines, replacement parts or related products) and complete related special projects as assigned.

Job Duties

• Reporting directly to this position are Revenue Analysts from salary grades 19 through 22. Works with Marketing, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Global Revenue Management, and Revenue Management (Pricing personnel) elsewhere in the company to obtain and evaluate information needed for making revenue recommendations. Directing development of advanced strategic recommendations by staff.
• Also includes personally handling high level complicated analysis.
• The incumbent gathers priorities and influences others work plans as well as their own based on feedback from these areas.
• Drives key quality goals including Customer Satisfaction, Continuous Improvement, Timeliness, Accuracy, Efficiency, Cost Savings, Process Quality, etc.
• The position changes the way work is performed to meet quality goals for the measure(s) stated.
• Limited travel required (5% of working time).

Background/Experience

• Requires a 4-year college degree concentrated in business administration, finance, economics, statistics, accounting, or related fields.
• Strong business acumen.
• Prior work experience in Pricing.
• Strong analytical ability with Excel Skills.
• Demonstrated initiative and results oriented.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to remain agile and flexible with a positive attitude.

Best candidates will also have

• Knowledge of various industry products, product applications, or merchandising/focus programs.
• Experience in leveraging visualization tools to explain analysis to stakeholders (Tableau, Power Bi)
• 3-5 years of job-related experience as a Revenue/Pricing Analyst or equivalent level job in a management role in 6 Sigma, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
