Your field of responsibility You will join us as India Compliance Officer. Advisory and Challenge: Assist PB India COO senior management in tracking, reviewing and analyzing circulars/notifications etc. issued by various regulators ensuring that the PB India Business is compliant Co-ordinating with Regulators on obtaining specific clarification on any regulatory matters/circulars Ensuring effective review of PB India first line controls, processes and procedures to mitigate compliance risk Active participation in PB India New Business projects to ensure that the India business develops in a controlled and compliant manner and in line with the bank\'s risk appetite Advising on PB India regulatory requirements / expectations as relevant to the business Blocking issue to business and compliance management in India and APAC of regulatory risks Involvement in corporate governance matters relating to the relevant domestic entity, including ensuring appropriate regulatory filings and notifications (if required) are made Strategic advice and support to the business in client complaint handling Liaison with regional Compliance product leads and other Compliance teams (e.g., IM Compliance, Product Compliance) to ensure a seamless delivery of regulatory advice to the business Willingness and ability to participate in domestic and APAC CCO projects Provide constructive and effective challenge to the business in order for the business to continue to operat, whilst remaining consistent with the bank\'s risk appetite and regulatory obligations Ensure Compliance Risk Assessment is conducted, discussions with various stakeholders in business, regional compliances and actions are discussed Assist in advisory to business/operations on financial crime compliance matters Independently taking decision on closure of transaction monitoring of alerts on fortnightly basis Regulatory Management: Relationship- Ensure that regulatory commitments are submitted in a timely manner Maintain healthy professional working relationship among all stakeholders including regulators & auditors Participate in industry forums where applicable on behalf of Credit Suisse Act as primary coordinator and business advisor for on-site/off-site examinations, investigations and regulatory enquiries Ensure the capture of all regulatory engagements in Fusion to ensure consistency of dealing with issues over APAC Regulatory Change/Development: Keep up to date with developments and assess implications in applicable laws, rules and standards Disseminate change requirements to impacted parties and ensure an implementation plan to meet required changes on a timely basis is devised Work with APAC and Global Compliance teams to provide advice concerning policy and regulatory obligations impacting the PB India business Ensure implementation of appropriate training resulting from any change/development in laws/rules or standards Coordination (in conjunction with relevant regional and other partners, including GC and other control functions) on the application of relevant regulations and Bank policies applicable to the Bank\'s PB businesses, the PB India CEO / local management and Corporate Functions in respect of India Issue management: Compliance reviews and activities may result in the identification of issues. Compliance is responsible for coordinating with Division/Functions to identify owners, target completion dates and required actions in response to findings identified from their reviews. Compliance responsibilities include: Manage the upload of issues identified through their reviews into MICOS Perform reviews and validation of issues, as needed Review/Approve change requests, as needed See that APAC Regional CCO is regularly and appropriately advised about material developments in India (including preparing a Weekly Critical issue Report for India) Policy and Training: Participate in CCO forums in a compliance advisory capacity in developing policies and procedures that will help in better performance of compliance activities Ensure that appropriate compliance policies are in place and effectively cascaded to business. Provide compliance input on policies owned by other business partners from regulatory and regional guidance perspective Ensure that timely compliance policy approvals are given/called out as appropriate (e.g., gifts and entertainment, Personal Account trading, Handling of complaints, etc.) Provide induction training to new joiners Proactively ensure that training sessions/ eLearning are provided to Front Office and other relevant departments on regulatory and policy requirements and lessons learned from complaints, regulatory incidents, enforcement cases and disciplinary incidents Stakeholder management: Business- Assist senior business in the assessment of breaches or possible breaches of relevant law/regulation and ensuring that reportable breach reports are made to relevant regulators, where vital, on time Assist senior management and other collaborators in educating staff and ensure the compliance function acts as an effective contact point within the bank for compliance queries Support management in acting as a champion on compliance and conduct risk matters in CS PB India in publicly setting standards and providing a challenge where the required standards are not achieved Control functions: Support management to cultivate a strong compliance and risk culture throughout all levels of the organization. Systems/technology development: Support and participate in any changes to systems Stay abreast of technology changes and opportunities to demonstrate various systems in the bank Management Information (MI) Ensure maintenance, review and dissemination of all relevant management information, including regular and accurate reporting to Management that aids effective decision making on compliance risk matters Team and People Agenda: Positive and proactive collaborator with other Compliance teams and Corporate Functions Proactively engage in knowledge sharing and professional development opportunities within the India Compliance teams Your future colleagues We are a department which values Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) and is committed to realizing the firm\'s D&I ambition which is an integral part of our global cultural values Your skills and experience You are expected to possess the below: Professional qualification such as CA, MBA, ICWA, CS, LLB etc. Have proven years of experience (7 years+), in working within a Compliance function in banking/securities market with awareness of banking, lending regulations, FEMA, KYC etc. Outstanding understanding of Financial Services, with working experience in local regulatory rules (RBI regulations) and familiarity with Indian regulatory landscape You are ambitious, hardworking who can work on own initiative and deliver on time whilst also being a good teammate High level of integrity, sense of urgency, attention to detail and quality standards Proficient in analytical and interpersonal skills with attention to detail Outstanding sense of accountability and time management Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives
