Job Description


Opportunity The individual in this role will be responsible for the upkeep of sanctions compliance, Treasury and legal requirements in various subgroups within CCAP. This role entails in-depth understanding of Treasury department and Sanctions pertaining to the industry. This is an advisory role which involves independent decision making and guidance to the various processes within CCAP. There is also an element of training wherein the SME is required to be the bridge between the CCAP in GSC and the Treasury/Legal/Compliance teams. Very good / Expert understanding of Global sanctions and able to articulate the same Very good understanding of Maersk\'s Treasury Department and how various departments work alongside Treasury Be able to address the queries raised by various departments within CCAP relating to Sanctions compliance Active involvement in H2H / re-banking projects as Treasury Department representative Be up to date on all sanctions & Trade Compliance related developments and be able to foresee the immediate impact it could have on the business & call it out Review existing processes related to sanctions, legal compliance specific to CCAP at regular intervals and advise on changes if need be and provide sign off. Suggest new processes where needed Be a liaison for Legal, Sanctions and Treasury teams, representing CCAP Periodically perform audit on sanctions related processes within CCAP and provide feedback and challenge where need be Provide inputs to banks / other external regulatory bodies on basic sanctions related queries or data collation. Support in reviewing documents and signing off for other teams like payments who receive such queries regularly Consult / seek guidance from Treasury / Legal / Sanctions compliance in case of unusual scenarios or irregularities Prepare and circulate sanctions specific metrics Provide Training to the CCAP teams on regular intervals on Sanctions compliance etc. Required skills and experience: Hands on experience in sanctions compliance Incumbent should have relevant experience of 3+ years in sanctions and compliance. Certification in Sanction compliance will be an added advantage Advanced knowledge within maintaining a compliance programme Excellent Knowledge on the AP, Procurement life cycle and F&A Excellent intercultural, problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal skills in English Experience in implementing internal control frameworks Excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and e-mail applications. Must be motivated and detail oriented.
