Position overview:

We are looking to hire a Supply Chain Trade Compliance Specialist to be jointly responsible for the accurate recording of Country of Origin, validation of C of O, and requesting new certificates from vendors.

The role will also be responsible for supporting teams to allow on-time export of product to customers and for on time receiving of product from vendors through the facilitation of the correct documentation. This will include issuing declarations where appropriate, supporting teams in providing the correct HS codes, and liaising with Customers, Vendors and Transportation companies to facilitate the correct documentation and declarations.

This role will report into the Customs Manager in the UK and support with all international locations.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• 
  Responsible for the accurate recording of Country of Origin,
• Validation of C of O, requesting new certificates from vendors.
• Supporting teams to allow on-time export of product to customers and for on-time receiving of product from vendors through the facilitation of the correct documentation.
• Issuing declarations where appropriate,
• Supporting teams in providing the correct HS codes.
• Supporting customer, vendors, transport companies with documentation requests.
• Supporting internal stakeholders with Export and Import enquiries and requests.
• Maintaining the HS code and C of O databases.
• Building and maintaining the Customs framework process.

Skills and qualifications required:

• 
  Previous experience and track record in a Supply Chain planning role would be an advantage
• Knowledge of global customs procedures/processes
• HS code understanding
• Transportation knowledge
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications
• MS Excel advanced skills
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail
• Self-motivated
• Well-organized with strong time management skills
• Able to work as part of a team or alone
