Job Description

• Lead and Establish New Products Design for Manufacturing, Input Material, Quality, Investment & profitability targets and establishing customer relationships which helps the organisation to secure new business

RFQ inputs-

a) Establishing the Zero Based BOM for RFQ\'s
b) Establishing the manufacturing process & costing for RFQ\'s
b) Establishing the FTG & investment requirements for RFQ\'s
d) Optimizing Investment, BOM, Manufacturing Process to ensure a competitive quote for winning business + maximizing RFQ
e) Working closely with Business Development team on VAVE & other optimization opportunities for RFQ\'s + target programs

Product Design Input-

a) Ensuring ease for manufacturing in the released design.
b) Ensuring the existing manufacturing process are adoptable in the design.
c) Ensuring the Standard Raw material specifications are in design.
d) Ensuring commonization of parts and process is verified in the design

Process Design & Development-

a) Ensuring the product manufacturing process design as per standard requirements.
b) Efficient process designing for all new product as per requirements.
c) Ensure SOR release for all new projects

Proto shop Management-

a) Managing Proto shop & team
b) Ensuring all Proto parts are made & delivered with the PQCDM targets
c) Ensuring the lead time & cost competitive proto parts development

Proto Part Development-

a)Achieve proto child part tooling development with in ZBC & targeted time line.
b) Ensure proto child parts and proto assemblies meeting all Quality & customer requirements

Project BOM & CAPEX Estimation

a) Ensuring the All-new Fixture, Tooling and Equipment investment requirements for new RFQ projects in line with ZBC requirements.
b) Ensure and provide to marketing for new product optimum input material through nesting simulations

Initial BOM release

a)Handing over the new products to plants with optimized BOM\'s & nested blanks details Yield 1 & 2
b) Ensuring the Project smooth manufacturing at the Plants

Manufacturing process Centre of Excellence

a) Creating & maintaining standard processes
b) Ensuring Quality controls across the organisation
c) Training Plant & Department members in core processes
d) Innovating to establish efficiency in all key processes

Leadership Opportunity with a Leading Automotive Component Supplier|An opportunity to Lead the Design for Manufacturing team

• M.Tech/B.Tech or equivalent in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering with 15+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or New Product Development in an Auto Component Industry with mandatory experience in New Product Development of Automotive component suppliers related to Fabrication/Welding/Forging
• Exposure in RFQ, equipment investment Costing, cycle time calculations
