Network Support Engineer

Formal Education & Certification
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication with 2 - 5 years’ hands on experience as network administrator on different vendor products.
Certification course in networking routing switching and security technology,
Knowledge & Experience
Proven experience and success with LAN, WAN, and WLAN design and implementation.
Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices.
Expert knowledge of core routing and switching design principles, best practices, and related technologies.
Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards, including routers, switches (layer 2/3), firewalls, site-to-site VPNs, and remote-access VPNs, network server load balancer, DNS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLAN, QoS, DSL, and Metro Ethernet.
Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.
Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization.
A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Dependable and flexible when necessary.
Extensive application support experience with network monitoring and analysis software
Network security experience. Recommended exposure to ITIL process knowledge and Audit compliance.
