The JPMC Web Team is responsible for providing build ,SRE and operational support services for all the leading Applications and Web Servers across UNIX and Windows (Distributed) platforms for multiple lines of business giving the successful candidate an opportunity to broaden not only their technical skills but also knowledge of the businesses that combine to make up JPMorgan. The Web product offerings enable greater automation, security and stability within the web middleware product space. The team works in conjunction with other technology towers and LOBs to ensure that Web products are deployed around a set of standards and best practices that is integrated with the enterprise infrastructure. We are looking for a Web Engineer who has a proven track record in Application & Web Server deployment and administration. This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including: Bachelor of Science/Computers degree or equivalent experience In-depth knowledge of Websphere Application Server, Apache, Tomcat, IIS with strong troubleshooting and configuration skills Hands-on experience on installation, configuration, optimization and troubleshooting middleware products Deploying App/Web servers in a large and complex enterprise environment, upgrading and supporting Experience in middleware concepts, operation and business continuity plan ( BCP) Scripting languages - PERL, Shell, Powershell and exposure to at least one of the following operating systems - Linux Solaris AIX Good understanding of industry best practices and Security standards (TLS, Ciphers, certs). Good working knowledge of JMS, J2C, JDBC, JCA, Web Services and integration with upstream/downstream services Exposure to industry recognized monitoring tools (For e.g. Wily, AppDynamics, Grafana, Dynatrace) Any Middleware or cloud certifications are a plus. It\'s nice if you have: Experience of working on cloud, java build pack, virtualization, APIs, and modern software languages Agile, DevOps, Cloud background Project Management experience Familiarity with Jenkins, BitBucket, GIT, other CI/CD tools and experience in end-to-end systems automation, orchestration and monitoring. Experience developing automation using Ansible, Python for toil reduction Working Knowledge on cloud or other platform level technology or service (Cloud Foundry, Mesos, Kubernetes etc.) Good written and verbal communication is an important part of the role as you will be part of a global team that will be collectively responsible to deliver on projects. This position will provide the right candidate with an excellent opportunity to enhance their existing skills in their core area as well as broaden and expand their knowledge across the range of products (Messaging/Web/DB), platforms (UNIX, Windows) and businesses we support.
