Our new NAB Innovation Centre India (NICI) will support NAB to deliver faster, better and more personalised experiences to customers and colleagues. Based in Gurugram, India, NICI will drive our innovation program and spark more opportunities.



This is a technical cloud support role in the Multi Currency Ledger team, focussed on AWS. There will be ongoing interaction with other technical team members. The role holder will be exposed to AWS Windows and Linux, RDS, OpenShift, RedHat, Microservices. A strong focus is placed on high attention to detail and team work within a small team of engineers.

A strong focus is placed on ability to adapt and work in AGILE way, high attention to detail and team work within a small team of devops . Role entails the day to day support of the AWS infrastructure covering a number of VPC accounts.

• Deployment of applications and services into AWS using a variety of automation tools such as Cloudformation, Puppet and Cloud provider APIs.
• Troubleshooting, performance tuning and optimisation of cloud hosted applications and services in AWS, including cost optimisation.
• Working with application development teams using continuous delivery practises and toolsets, ie. Git, Jenkins, automated testing tools.
• Liaising with 3rd party vendors and suppo rt providers for timely resolution of issues
• Promote and realize automation opportunities across application deployment, maintenance and operational activities

Proactively manage risk, meeting all policy and compliance requirements; perform controls; adhere to process and procedures pertinent to role; and escalate events, issues or breaches as they are identified (risk accountability forms part of all roles, as everyone is responsible for managing risk and compliance).

It is expected that the role holder will most likely have the following qualifications and

experience: 5 - 8 Years

• Demonstrated experience with AWS (Mandatory) Azure advantageous)
• Experience with automating, managing and monitoring AWS services: EC2, EBS, ELB, Route53, Cloudformation, S3, Cloudwatch, Autoscaling, VPC and RDS.
• Strong Linux skills: debugging, package management, performance tuning and administration.
• Experience with Windows OS build, configuration and automation.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies (AD, DFS, Backup Utilities)
• Experience with IT automatio n and configuration management (Puppet and Cloud formation strongly desired).
• Knowledge of Middleware technologies (ie. Tomcat, Apache and Java).
• Familiarity with systems management concepts, capacity/performance management and tuning; and storage and network concepts such as subnetting, DNS and routing/switching.
• Desirable qualifications: AWS Associate level Certified Solution Architect, SysOps Administrator or AWS Certified Developer.
• Desirable experience with RDS technologies: Oracle, SQL and Po stgreSQL
• Understand advanced application hosting techniques including containers, serverless, PaaS and SaaS
• Demonstrated experience designing and improving the reliability and operational automation of complex cloud IT systems

Experience with automating, managing and monitoring AWS services: EC2, EBS, ELB, Route53, Cloudformation, S3, Cloudwatch, Autoscaling, VPC and RDS.
Experience in AWS(Certification preferred)
