Our esteemed client is a start up in API industry based at Navi Mumbai, keen to hire a business development professional as per the roles and responsibilities mentioned below: 1 - Market Research and Analysis (API Industry): Conducting market research to identify potential customers, market trends, and competitors in the API industry for Pharma drugs, Animal husbandry etc. Analysing data and market insights to develop strategies for business growth and competitive advantage. Checking and analysing the potential of the respective markets to retain major customers. Export Data Analysis / Trend on competitor pricing. 2- Market Expansion and New Market Entry: Identifying opportunities to expand the organization\'s market presence, whether through geographic expansion or entering new target segments. Conducting feasibility studies, developing market entry strategies, and executing plans for successful market expansion. 3 - Lead Generation and Prospecting: Identifying and generating new business leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, referrals, and online platforms. Building a pipeline of potential clients and opportunities for the API business. 4 - Relationship Building: Establishing and nurturing relationships with potential clients, partners, and key stakeholders. Building a strong professional network and maintaining regular communication to foster trust and explore collaboration opportunities. 5 - Proposal Development and Presentations: Creating persuasive proposals and presentations to showcase the organization\'s products or services to potential clients. Customizing proposals to address client needs and presenting them effectively to win new business opportunities. Generating new business leads and negotiating contracts with leading pharmaceutical companies. Handling customer query with respect to technical documents (COA, MSDS, Stability Data, GMP, DMF etc.) and coordinating with Plant / Regulatory for product / documentation support. Coordinating with Finance Dept. for settling of payments / commission remittances and informing customer/Agents 6 - Negotiation and Deal Closure: Engaging in negotiations with clients to secure contracts, partnerships, and agreements. Collaborating with legal and internal teams to ensure favourable terms and conditions, and successfully closing deals. Ensuring achievement of API sales targets, by maintaining sales networking and client development activities. 7 - Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborating with internal teams such as marketing, product development, operations, and finance to align business development strategies with overall organizational objectives. Coordinating efforts to ensure smooth transitions from business development to implementation and delivery. 8 - Industry Networking and Representation: Actively participating in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to stay updated on market trends, establish the organization\'s presence, and expand professional networks. Representing the organization in a professional manner to enhance its brand and reputation. Interacting with agents/customers to understand the requirements for registration of new products in their country and coordinating with Regulatory department. 9- Performance Tracking and Reporting: Monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development activities, such as lead conversion rates, revenue growth, and market share. Providing regular reports and insights to management for decision-making and continuous improvement.
