Established in 2020, MUFG Global Service (MGS) is 100% subsidiary of MUFG having offices in Bengaluru and Mumbai. MGS India has been set up as a Global Capability Centre / Centre of Excellence to provide support services across various functions such as IT, KYC/ AML, Credit, Operations etc. to MUFG Bank offices globally. With a current headcount of around 900, MGS India has plans to significantly ramp-up its growth over the next 18-24 months while servicing MUFGs global network across Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific.

Job Profile

Purpose of Role

This Manager is responsible for executing and managing multiple large Outsourcing/Offshoring Bank projects. This project manager should track the project timelines, liaise with multiple stakeholders and is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of the initiative and should be well versed in Outsourcing/Offshoring work from APAC, EMEA, and the Americas to Captives. The Manager is also responsible for leading and actively managing associated plans, governance, issues, risks, and resource needs to ensure successful delivery.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Engage with Onsite team across the globe and manage the related transition process to meet project deliverables from a receiving entity perspective
  • Engage with internal stakeholders in MGS India to manage the transition process and meet project deliverables
  • Execute and deliver on multiple large inter-company Outsourcing/Offshoring projects that are high complexity and multi-disciplinary
  • Consult with client groups across regions to identify program needs
  • Serve as the principal coordinator of the project team responsible for redistributing the work to ensure the project\'s success
  • Serve as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
  • Create long- and short-term project plans, including setting targets for milestones
  • Delegate tasks on the project to Business Unit SMEs best positioned to complete them
  • Perform checks on the project throughout execution to maintain the standards expected. Deliver projects on agreed upon timeline and budget
  • Host regular project meetings with key stakeholders to track execution progress, address issues / challenges, and drive accountability, including agendas, meeting minutes, and issues tracking
  • Communicate proactively with executives to keep the project aligned with stated goals
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to enhance project processes and collaborate internally across regions to implement
  • Support in migration governance aspects from a receiving entity perspective
Job Requirements:
  • Education preference: Bachelors degree required
  • Requires a minimum 8 12 years demonstrated knowledge and direct work experience in leading Outsourcing/Offshoring projects that cross company business lines and company regions. PMP certification and / or Certified Outsourcing Professional a plus.
  • Experience working with captives, external vendors, Third Party Risk Management, and Sourcing is required.
  • Expert skills with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint and MS Teams) are required. Demonstrated skills in the areas of priority setting, problem solving, negotiation, and conflict management are required.
  • Ability to effectively partner with key stakeholders and cross functional groups to mitigate risk, remediate issues and drive accountability
  • Must be a self-starter, have the ability to work independently, and adapt in a dynamic environment
