Manager (Procurement)

- Should have core Procurement consulting experience.

- No BPO or Procurement operations experience to be considered

Job Details: Looking for Management Consulting and not Tech Consulting or research profiles for this role

Manager works with teams of Project Leaders, Analysts and Associates on problem solving, work-planning, research, analytics and overall content to produce client ready materials and generate business insights and implications. You will also help partners in developing intellectual property (IP), go-to-market materials, pitch documents and publications. The position reports into a Director/Sr. Director

- Lead a couple of teams comprising of Project Leaders, Associates and Analysts to execute multiple cases simultaneously

- Achieve an understanding of client case teams, client development teams and support in business development and industry practice areas

- Assist case teams across client ecosystem to analyze the levers/methods for cost savings

- Understand client\'s financial and supplier data using P&L, ERP Systems, budgeting systems, supplier databases and purchase order systems to identify major spend categories and look for cost savings

- Understand client needs and situations and adapt to case expectations. Provide significant direction and support to resolve complex issues and effectively manage client and team

- Proficient at using relevant analytical tools and ensure zero-defect in all work streams to ensure quality work delivery (proficiency across Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI and other data analysis/visualization tools)

- Communicate data, knowledge, and clearly explain insights and implications for the client to the entire team. Generate and screen realistic answers based on sound reality checks and recommend actionable solutions

- Effectively manages client and team meetings and deliver clear and professional presentations to the team, team leaders and managers/partners across the system

- Consistently provide responsible feedback in all interactions; recognizes team\'s development needs and provide feedback toward constant improvement

- Take responsibility for staffing and assigning specific work streams. Monitors and manages workload and resolves overloads

- Incumbent is also a part of the management team and leads other office initiatives such as recruiting, training, business strategy, marketing etc.

- Being a strategic Leader takes responsibility of sharing appropriate information within work streams and developing team members for key leadership roles on teams :

Required Skills:

- Work experience range in case highest qualification is undergraduate studies - 8-11 years of relevant experience in procurement or performance improvement roles and strong academic records

- Work experience range in case highest qualification is postgraduate studies - 6-9 years of relevant experience in procurement or performance improvement roles and strong academic records

- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in industry or consulting firms

- Excellent analytical skills, communication skills (ability to deliver clear and professional presentations to senior stakeholders), team management and project management skills

- Demonstrated ability to work with MS Excel and PowerPoint

- Knowledge of visualization and tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI (Python/R, Anaplan knowledge is a plus)

- Ability to deal with ambiguity, handle multiple tasks and dynamic case expectations
