We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Product Business Analyst.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

Projects and analysis

  • Strong understanding of business domain, its strategic direction, functional goals, and the required technical expertise.
  • Ensures all the required products are produced and reviewed, including the technical leadership of requirements management, design, implementation, system integration, verification, test, quality assurance, delivery, operations, and sustainment of the technical solution
  • Ensures the delivery of information to support the strategic and tactical information needs of the organization.
  • Oversees the integrating and staging of data and development of data stores for use by analysts throughout the organization.
Service Delivery
  • Responsible for delivery of high quality Data & Information Management & Analysis solutions & provide tailored consultative service to Global Businesses, Global Functions, Regional & country teams.
  • Responsible for complex program management tasks and development of standards and processes for scheduling, administration, and accounting
  • Oversees analysis, planning, development of requirements documents and project budgets, building functional models, developing procedures, developing functional architectures, and other related management and technical duties
  • Manage scope throughout the project duration. Maintains accurate program estimates, timelines, project plans, status reports
  • Manages and tracks team velocity, financials, and other KPIs in relation to the plan and publishes progress reports.

(Sub-function):
  • Global WPB Fraud Transformation Product Business Analysts work as part of Fraud project teams on the deployment of global Fraud technologies. Product BAs work in conjunction with Product Managers to set global strategy for the use of Fraud technologies deployments and ongoing BAU optimization to ensure business outcomes and value is delivered. Product BA\'s work closely with the Fraud Transformation execution teams to plan, mobilize and direct change projects of varying complexity from inception to closure. They are responsible for supporting and driving large scale change projects across a wider range of geographies and time zones.
  • The role holder act as a role model, demonstrating active leadership and clearly communicating to a wide range of stakeholders. The role holder will provide input to the strategic direction for the management and optimization of strategic fraud decisioning capabilities. The role holder will be accountable for ensuring that HSBC leverages best-in class market technology optimally, in a manner suited to HSBC\xe2\x80\x99s environment and business strategy.
  • The person will support the development and management of the fraud product roadmap and vendor management. The person will work within the fraud product function to support the drafting of business and IT requirements and user stories, to drive the development and implementation of new fraud technology. They will also assess the current implementations to identify opportunities for further optimization, working with relevant stakeholders to drive and deliver the realization of additional business value.
Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:
  • Masters in engineering or business Management
  • At least 5+ years of Business Leadership Experience focused primarily in the Financial Services & Fraud Transaction Monitoring
  • Experience in running Global Offshore R&A team and a proven track record in establishing a high performance and efficient Data & Information Management unit.
  • Experience in driving and large scale change and transformation Program
  • Experience with a Consulting organization and practices and Program/Project Management
  • Client/Account Management experience is a plus
  • Strong track record of managing and leading teams
  • Exceptionally strong organizational, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Ability to think creatively to drive innovative solutions
  • Ability to build connections and work collaboratively across boundaries
  • Strong communication skills, in particular the ability to gather requirements, question as-is and to-be processes which then are articulated and effectively deliver the right message to the stakeholders.

  • Proven track record as an outstanding analyst
  • Overall financial services industry knowledge with specific functional expertise
  • Extensive experience of using multiple analysis techniques in a change environment, with a mix of business, operations and technology focused projects
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills, confident coordinating and leading workshops with multiple stakeholders with differing needs
  • Excellent decision making and problem solving ability
  • Advanced judgmental skills to identify and resolve problems
  • Proven ability to work across regions whilst maintaining a global perspective
  • Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and business sponsors
  • Excellent communicator, confident at conversing at all levels of management.
  • Understanding of HSBC Group structures, processes and objectives
  • Very strong knowledge of the external environment \xe2\x80\x93 regulatory, political, competitors etc.

What additional skills will be good to have?

Additional Information /Specific Skills (If Any):
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on product analysis/ business analysis experience, solving complex business problems ideally within a financial services environment.
  • Fraud System Development or Fraud Product Management experience.
  • Financial crime & compliance (FCC) or Financial Crime and Risk Management (FCRM) experience
  • Proven experience of positive, challenging interactions with stakeholders.
  • Proven Product Ownership experience in a complex global environment, across multiple geographies and time zones.
  • Proven ability in leading technology teams using agile methodology and nurturing talent.
  • Proven experience of using project management related tools such as Clarity, Jira, Rally, Confluence etc.
  • An understanding of Fraud Technologies (specifically on transaction monitoring tooling) is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical matters effectively with senior leaders across Fraud, the business, and the public sector.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
  • Highly motivated self-starter with proven ability to work collaboratively within teams and to deliver on time
  • Proven ability to rapidly develop subject matter expertise in a range of technical and non-technical areas
  • A personal and professional interest in security, intelligence and technology
  • Subject matter expert with regard to technical and operational fraud decision systems and processes in financial institutions
  • Experience of working with digital platforms, or digital change/digital delivery
  • Experience of working in a fraud risk/fraud management environment
  • Experience of operating in agile teams, with proven track record of adopting agile methodology, championing an agile mindset, writing agile user stories, and focusing on value.
