The position Provide pro-active advice on Legal, Compliance & Ethics matters and manage the risks in Business Ethics, in compliance with Novo Nordisk policies and external laws and regulations .
You will be responsible for \xe2\x80\x93
Assistance in managing the legal affairs :

  • Carry out and continually assess the effective implementation of the Global and International Operations Legal strategy
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and legislation in the Affiliate, in cooperation with Affiliate Legal and International Operations Legal Teams
  • Identify legal trends and other developments in the legal environment and share them within the Affiliate Legal & Compliance Team
  • Without compromising integrity provides fast, effective, high quality and business-oriented legal support and advice on key projects, negotiations and disputes to deliver positive business outcomes
  • Coordinate external law firms in line with Global Legal guidelines

Managing Compliance and Business Ethics Affairs:
  • Implement the Global and International Operations BE Compliance Plan, policies and procedures within the Business Unit as well as develop additional policies and procedures to address local law and pharma industry requirements to supplement the Global policies when needed
  • Support the Affiliate Head of Legal, Quality & Compliance in setting the strategic direction of legal risks
  • Provide training, procedures and communication, to ensure that all employees maintain awareness of the current legislation, standards and codes relevant for their roles
  • Provide high quality advice on BE Compliance issues and support staff by giving information and training as necessary
  • Prepare presentations and reports for the Business Unit Management Team and the Affiliate Legal Team on BE Compliance issues and major risks

Manage legal documents & contracts:
  • Ensure an effective system for archiving legal documents.
  • Ensure effective contract management, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
  • Review, update and finalize various recurring contract templates.
  • Review and draft notices, responses to the statutory authorities.
  • Ensure use of latest global templates of various types of contracts and its customisation as per local requirements.
Driving legal & Business Ethics Compliance risk management:
  • Analyse legal & BE Compliance risks and provide assessment to the Obesity Business Unit Management and Affiliate Legal & Compliance Head
  • Implement action plans to manage risk, together with the Obesity Business Unit Management Team and the Affiliate Legal & Compliance Head

Purpose and subject of interaction with internal/ external customers and key contacts:
  • Ensure and maintain Customer focus and engage internal and external contacts by demonstrating the importance of complying with relevant laws and Novo Nordisk policies.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate degree field in Law (LLB).
  • 5 to 7 years experience in the legal & compliance field.
  • Self \xe2\x80\x93 managed, strong personal drive and the ability to motivate colleagues towards delivering excellent performance and results including continuous improvement.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with stakeholders, both internal and external at all levels.
