The Legal Department is organized by Practice Groups that conform to the organization of the Firm's line of business and corporate staff areas. Each Practice Group has a General Counsel who is the Practice Group Head and who reports to the Firm's General Counsel. This structure provides the means for the Legal teams to communicate legal and regulatory changes to the business and staff areas and for the lines of business and staff areas to communicate business developments that have legal or regulatory implications to the Legal teams in a timely manner. The Corporate Legal Associate Counsel will be part o f Legal Support Team that provides legal services to various Practice Groups within the Corporate Legal department. The successful candidate may be responsible for delivery of one or more functions with a focus on specific Practice Groups or region in Corporate Legal. We are currently hiring an experienced transactional lawyer to support the Data Protection & Privacy Legal Team, the Global Technology Legal Team and the Cybersecurity & Technology Controls and Global Security Legal Team with corporate and transactional related matters. The responsibilities include:

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of agreements with third-party service providers/suppliers or with clients.
• Assist attorneys with advising on privacy, data protection, technology and cybersecurity contractual implications.
• Assist with due diligence review and deal closing deliverables, as needed.
• Assist with drafting various other corporate law transactional documents
• Conduct legal research and analyze laws, regulations and developments
• Actively assist and support attorneys with privacy, data protection, technology and cybersecurity matters
• Engage in other special projects, as needed

Qualifications:

• Law Degree from a premier law school and membership in jurisdictional organization. Attorney candidates must be in compliance with all relevant licensing requirements including the requirements of the jurisdiction where the role will be located prior to commencement of employment.
• 2-5 years of privacy, cyber, technology and/or corporate law experience in a major law firm and/or financial institution.
• Excellent English language skills, both spoken and in writing - required.
• Excellent organizational skills - required.
• Self-starter and pro-active - required.
• Working knowledge of legal search engines, including Westlaw/Lexis Nexis - preferable.
• All candidates for roles in the Legal Department must successfully complete a conflicts of interest clearance review prior to commencement of employment.
