The Team: Data Governance & Strategy Team The Impact: The Data Governance & Strategy team plays a pivotal role in S&P Global Commodity Insight\'s strategic transformation from a traditional data organization into a next generation data intelligence organization. Entity resolution and consistency of master data is imperative for data interoperability across the organization. The bringing together of S&P Global and IHS Markit in 2022 has created unique opportunities to extend our market leadership by building next-generation market data, insights and analytics products powered by our combined world class datasets. What\'s in it for you: In this Lead Master Data Analyst role, you will be responsible for identifying and supporting efforts to consolidate and enhance our Master Data offerings within the business line. The role requires partnering with stakeholders, analysts and team members on an international level and is a great opportunity for the right candidate to grow and develop in the data mastering field. Responsibilities: Support the integration and mastering of data within the Commodity Insights organization. Evaluate, establish, and ascertain compatibility with adjacent data sets for integration purposes and in support of open data initiatives. Assist in the development of master data management strategies. Conduct thorough research and analysis, gather associated information and data, and investigate relationships between data objects to support requirements. Coordinate with stakeholders and technical teams to align on priorities and communicate requirements. Engage with stakeholders and data stewards through knowledge sharing, training and education. Qualifications: Hands-on experience and knowledge of Master Data within databases. Knowledge of Microsoft SQL and proficiency in querying relational and non-relational database types. Some experience of datasets associated with the energy industry an advantage. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Knowledge of and proficiency in the agile development life cycle framework. Good research, analytic, problem-solving and presentation skills. Product Ownership experience an advantage. Flexibility in working a later shift to facilitate working directly with colleagues and stakeholders in European and North American time zones. Work effectively as a part of an international team as well as a strong capacity to work independently with accountability, adaptability and a sense of urgency.
