JOB TITLE: Manager - Product line and Industry growth, Lubrication Management, ISEA

  • Purpose of the role:

  • The product management plays a decisive role by translating market trends and customer needs into Products and Solutions. It is responsible for fostering the competitiveness of the SKF Lubrication product portfolio in diverse automotive and industrial applications in ISEA. It will be the source of decisions on ISEA lubrication product strategy, product roadmap, roadmap execution and tactical choices through full value chain engagement.
  • Establish proactively a strong connect between the market / customers / sales and internal functions to build sales strategy, support strategic growth areas and manage product portfolio needed for the local / export market growth with NPD needs, NMO, NP launches and internal / external communication for promotion and development.


  • Responsibilities

  • Represent ISEA in global LBU Product Management forum and be an expert in the lubrication product portfolio.
  • Actively contribute to the development of industry segment growth strategy by providing insights derived from industry drivers, competition landscape and ISEA footprint perspectives
  • Define and develop Product portfolio aligned to industry segment growth strategy and Product Line profitability objectives.
  • Define product pricing principles and guidelines for existing & new assortments, maintaining the price competitiveness & ensuring we meet our profitability targets.
  • Define SKF standard pricing, discounting structure for lubrications products in ISEA and release standard market pricelist for distribution business. Review & monitor the needs for price revisions based on change in external market trends & inflation.
  • Ensure product assortment optimization, new assortment release, measured by localization rate.
  • Define and execute “Go-To-Market” roadmap for new products, fulfilling the value propositions, cost target, engineering and manufacturing footprint expectations and timeline.
  • Liaise between Customer / Sales and R&D / PE for getting product advancements developed to be competitive in the marketplace - define new product specifications (with sales, manufacturing and R&D)
  • Define and manage the development plan of growing the export business of lubrication products from Lubrication India factory to other countries in Asia and further expansion to other global regions.
  • Support coordinating for resolving product issues for critical opportunities
  • Collect full value chain market intelligence, derive insights and share internally.
  • Drive knowledge sharing within the SKF by coordination and sharing information about the product line via presentations, trainings, workshops etc.
  • Provide competitive analysis and support cost optimisation to manage product cost/price issues
  • Manage the product lifecycle of the existing regional portfolio (development, introduction, growth, mature /relaunches/phase-lifts and phaseouts) in alignment with the global team
  • Determine the right product mix for the region based on local market needs, manufacturing footprint and supply chain.
  • Conduct all business operations and transactions in accordance with SKF Code of Conduct, OHSAS, Quality Management Principles & Practices.

  • Candidate Profile
B.E./B.Tech-Mechanical with MBA (preferably) and 9-10 years of experience
