West Central Asia Procurement team is looking for a Procurement Leader for its IBS Area (India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka) Procurement team who will play a key role in the delivery and execution of the Area Business plan towards integration of our customer's supply chain. Manage the Area Procurement team in charge of developing and executing the area Procurement strategy in strategic alignment with the Area Leadership Team and the area business plans across L&S products. Key responsibilities Overall responsible for optimizing the procurement spend across the Logistics, Supply Chain and 3rd party spend. There will have a strong focus on Contract Logistics and Landside Transportation: . As a member of the Area Leadership Team, the incumbent will play a key role in the development of the Logistics & Services commercial strategy . Develop category strategy in alignment with area business plans . Enable sustainable and profitable growth through best-in-class sourcing, optimizing operational behaviours and supplier innovation. . Develop and oversee the realization of the procurement plan (Pipeline) . Ensure compliance is managed to the expectations of the Maersk procurement process, and this is supported through the 'Six Sourcing Steps' . Manage vendor relationships incl. performance management on strategic level . Manage the performance and build capabilities of the area procurement team and the individual team members . Facilitate the personal and functional development of the area procurement team and the individual team members . Govern the One Maersk mindset. Act as a point of escalation relating to dispute and issue resolution We are looking for . 10 years of experience in managing Logistics and Supply chain products and/or procurement . A strong knowledge and experience in Contract Logistics would be an advantage. This would ideally involve the full process of setting up warehouse facilities. . A background working with business development projects and investment analysis would be a strong advantage. Ideally this will be from a experience working with infrastructure investments and/or M&A in the Logistics industry. . Good understanding or background in finance . Excellent spoken and written English and local languages . Strong experience in leading and building high performing teams . Awareness of cost drivers will be highly valued in the selection process. . Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, through which he or she will engage a broad range of colleagues and stakeholders locally, regionally, and globally across a wide range of department. . Experienced negotiator with a solid track record within various environments and across multiple geographies. . Continuous improvement mindset . Experience in Transformation would be an advantage
