Job Description


Role profile: We are seeking a Senior Technology Leader to run our Global Network Services function, including operations, engineering and security infrastructure teams across both LAN, WAN for all production and corporate environments. This is a critically important role as the team supports all business divisions for the group. LSEG runs one of the worlds largest networks globally, comprising of low latency high frequency trading systems, real time market data distribution and over 100 points of presence 24/7. Operational resiliency and stability are core given the systemic importance of this critical national infrastructure. Key to this role, will be transforming the team to service focused, software defined infrastructure whilst maintaining the highest levels of stability and availability of services. Upskilling overall team capabilities and leading the team towards an agile/DevOps models of delivery. We need a motivational leader who will inspire the team to deliver core service as well as improvement & innovation to grow the partnership with Product Engineering, Infrastructure and Security owners whilst improving availability and performance of our network. Senior executive level stakeholder management is required, in addition to managing relationships with clients, partners and all internal service groups. Driving collaboration and innovation across all Global Network Services Key responsibilities Managing a large team of internal and scale partner resources responsible for level 2/3 operations of network and security technologies Managing a large portfolio of transformation projects, and dependencies from all technology programmes A strong focus on Risk and Controls, ensuring Service Management focus Ensuring Operational Resiliency across all production network services, globally, across all business lines Drive SRE best practices across all - 50% ops, 50% delivery, while pushing transformation to shift toward 80% delivery and 20% ops Implementing operational best practices across all services and driving the automation of repeatable activities and other service improvement initiatives. Building and executing service and technology roadmaps alongside technical recovery plans and testing. Fostering a high-performance management team through coaching, engagement and performance management Skills and experience Proven experience of Network & Security Engineering delivery and support, including security controls Deep technical knowledge and understanding of Network & Security engineering technologies & principals Can demonstrate depth of knowledge and understanding of current trends across the network and security industry Experience running large budgets and partnership service agreements (SLA/OLA) Has managed agile delivery teams and ideally proven experience of transforming teams to agile ways of working Previous experience of managing multiple 3rd party/vendor relationships Have previously worked in a heavily regulated/controls environment Experience in highly regulated/Financial services preferred Excellent communication skills, can build effective relationships at all levels up to C-suite.
