Role Responsibilities Group FP&A Cost team is responsible for management of Bank\'s Cost base, including internal reporting, external messaging, Plan (Budget, Forecast & Outlook) and helping deliver our Group cost targets. Head of P2P Group Cost reporting will drive end to end Cost performance management outcomes in collaboration with Head, Cost Analytics & Governance (Group FP&A). Reporting & Analytics Own end-to-end process outcomes, enabling robust decision making & delivery of Group Cost and productivity targets Drive clear, simple, and transparent reporting of Cost performance for the MBRs, Board presentations, Management reviews, and other ad-hoc analytics Support creating clear cost narratives for both internal as well as external messaging (MT, Finance Forum, investors, analysts, rating agencies etc.) Drive Cost performance through greater engagement, transparency, and collaboration with Segment, Function, Regional CFO teams and P2P counterparts Model outcomes and enable decision making for planning, target setting and strategic reviews Develop an effective organisation structure which delivers the right balance between process expertise and specialist cost advisory capability Provide thought leadership in simplifying and articulating complex issues impacting process Change & Optimisation Drive standardisation, digitisation, and optimisation of Incurred Cost Reporting, Outlook, and Plan processes Support the Cost change agenda, in collaboration with Group FP&A\'s Cost Analytics & Governance team Actively participate and contribute towards successful implementation of Finance wide initiatives within Group FP&A Cost processes People & Leadership Provide thought leadership in P2P leadership forums and other FP&A forums to deliver the function\'s vision Actively contribute to the strategic development of P2P and support driving GFS collective agenda Develop a sustainable talent management approach which attracts and retains top talent. Through assignment of direct and indirect reports, establish and maintain an appropriate framework and procedures for monitoring, identifying, measuring, assessing, reporting, and managing compliance, regulatory, financial crime, operational and reputational risks Key Stakeholders & Partners Global Head, Finance Operations GPO, Plan to Perform GPO Head, Cost Analytics & Governance (Group FP&A) Group FP&A Management Team and P2P Leadership Team Segment, Function & Regional CFOs Head, Global Financial Services, as well as the Leadership Team Aspire Program Leadership Team Group Finance Operational Risk Our Ideal Candidate Qualified finance professional with more than 20 years\' experience of Financial Planning & Analytics and Cost performance management Role Specific Technical Competencies Qualified accountant with 20+ years PQE as a minimum Experience of providing finance business partnering to a large organisation and c-suite executives including extensive cost management support. Ability to constructively challenge and influence where appropriate to ensure the overall goals of the business and the bank are aligned. Strong understanding of technology spends from a commercial perspective and ideally knowledge of applications typical of a global bank. Understanding of Standard Chartered Bank finance processes and systems desirable. Strong knowledge and experience of cost management and familiarity with accounting standards. Experience of driving strategic change and process re-engineering. Strong analytical skills in Excel and PowerPoint Knowledge of methodologies such as Agile.
