With us, you can do something significant that benefits society and human progress Your new role - challenging and future-oriented The Gas Turbine R&D, Gurgaon department is seeking an experienced Turbine aeromechanical engineer at the Senior level. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic product development environment for large industrial gas turbines at Siemens Energy. Primary responsibilities pertain to independently performing mechanical integrity, vibration and aeromechanical analyses for the design of hot gas path components. Secondary responsibilities include the training and coaching of others, and the proactive involvement in tool and method development. Both primary and secondary responsibilities require a comprehensive knowledge in aeromechanical tools and theory. Aeromechanics has a direct impact on the life cycle cost of the large industrial gas turbine which means this position has a direct impact on the competitive ability of Siemens Energy. The position is within the R&D organization of the Gas Turbine business located at Gurgaon, India. Role & Responsibilities: Analyze and design hot gas path components (e.g. blades, vanes, ring segments) for mechanical integrity, aeroemechanics and manufacturability Apply and automate, test and implement, develop and improve advanced modeling techniques, design tools and analysis methods Lead the HCF Design Board and provide effective guidance to design teams for issues that exceed the scope of design philosophies Coach and mentor, train and develop less experienced engineers in the field of aeromechanics Design engine test configurations and prepare engine test specifications Support operation and field issue resolution via design studies and root cause analyses Use test data and field measurements to validate and improve analytical predictions incl. but not limited to forced response, HCF, alarm limits, stimulus and flutter Drive, guide and support integrated product teams through technical challenges Process, evaluate and document primary design and miscellaneous tasks and results Interface with customers both internal and external We don\'t need superheroes, just super minds Advanced university degree in mechanical, aerospace or materials engineering 10+ years of industry experience incl. 3D modeling, analysis and design of hot gas path components incl. manufacturing and field issue support experience Advanced aeromechanical knowledge both theoretical and practical with strong background in dynamics and vibration of structures Advanced understanding of flutter, forced response, HCF Advanced understanding of structural integrity incl. TMF, creep and coating lifing Advanced multi-disciplinary understanding incl. structural dynamics, aerodynamics/CFD and heat transfer Extensive tool familiarity with NX, ANSYS, DATAR and TRACE ORAGL, Heeds, AutoOpti, CFX, SafePG, APDL, Python TeamCenter, SAP Knowledge of computational methods and programming experience Demonstrated understanding of multi-disciplinary optimization Material property knowledge, alloy and coatings experience Demonstrated detail-oriented and innovative thinking mindset Must be able to succeed in a global, dynamic and virtual integrated team environment Must be highly motivated, proactive, self-directed and take initiative Must have exceptional inter-personal and excellent communication skills Business fluent in English Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience Commercial software NASTRAN, ABAQUS, Ansys and SID, Knowledge Fusion Fortran, Java, Matlab, C, C++ CAD modelling and parametrization experience Project management, team building and intercultural experience Manufacturing experience We\'ve got quite a lot to offer.
