Job Title: Financial Applications Analyst - IBM Cognos Controller
Jo Role:
- Working as part of Group Financial Reporting Team and performing a unique blend of accounting and system related responsibilities.
- Responsibilities will also include interaction with users in different geographical locations.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Ensure readiness of the existing consolidation system IBM Cognos Controller and its further configuration, which includes maintaining company/account structure and sub-forms, update foreign exchange rates, validation of data to the source ERP system, etc.
- Analyze consolidated results including all reconciliation rules, follow up on each Business Unit\xe2\x80\x99s progress and provide solutions for issues raised/problems faced by users during period closing process.
- Act as a liaison between the various IBM Cognos Controller user groups (Group Finance, Business Units and Corporate IT) to ensure system issues, enhancements and upgrades are well understood by all, and implications have been addressed.
- Coordinate IBM Cognos Controller enhancement project
- Identify and analyze business and user needs while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
- Facilitate sessions, interviews and analysis to identify areas for process and system improvements.
- Ensure all consolidation system related process documentation is maintained up-to date.
- Ensure knowledge transfer to users by providing training sessions and updated documentation.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business or information Technology.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive work experience.
- Financial systems experience,
- Demonstrated knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (\xe2\x80\x9cIFRS\xe2\x80\x9d) experience
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with configuration of financial systems (IBM Cognos Controller, Hyperion Financial Management, SAP FICO)
- Ability to \xe2\x80\x9cthink outside the box\xe2\x80\x9d, to work in a dynamic, complex, fast paced environment, to adapt quickly and to manage changing priorities.
- Solid analytical abilities, combined with being detail oriented.
- Highly skilled at analyzing and solving system related problems/issues; must enjoy working with systems and software.
- Fluent English and Strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop and maintain relationships across different teams in different geographical locations.
