Position Overview
The candidate’s primary responsibilities will be to perform all detail accounting functions and analysis for bank and intercompany related processes for various entities across Europe. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for providing accounting assistance in support of the closing and reporting process and assisting in the ongoing review of the SOX internal control process, as well as provide support and all required documentation for internal and external audits for the GL Accounting area.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Day-to-day
• Prepare daily journal entries and account reconciliations for GL bank accounts
• Work closely with business partners across the region including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Tax and Sales Audit
• Prepare journal entries / intercompany recharges and account reconciliations for intercompany related transactions and GL accounts for entities across the region.
• Ensure intercompany balances between entities eliminate and are reconciled
• Work closely with various global business partners (EMEA, APAC, Corporate) to ensure timely and accurate accounting for intercompany transactions and compliance with internal policies
• Maintain and review documented procedures and ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
• Support of internal and external audits (US GAAP and Statutory) for all Treasury related areas.
• Identification of process improvement and efficiency enhancement opportunities.
• Assist with ad-hoc tasks / projects and as required.

Education and Experience:

• Accounting, finance, business or economics education / qualification
• Proficiency in Excel and fair understanding of general ledger applications (SAP experience a plus)
• Previous experience in a similar role a plus preferably in a shared service environment
