Job Description


Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities: Establishes and leads cross-program, and cross-group Architecture strategies, opportunities, and problem resolution, setting enterprise direction in support of the Group technology strategy. Owns the creation of architectural guardrails within a given technical domain (infrastructure, security, cloud, data, etc.) and/or business domain (Capital Markets, Post Trade, Data & Analytics, etc.). Collaborate with relevant stakeholders (chairs of Architecture Domain Forums, Domain Architects, Business Architects, etc.) to establish standards, policies, patterns, best practice etc. Provide senior technology consultancy, to drive adoption of best practices and to instigate technology transformation opportunities in the Group. Serves and oversees coaching and mentoring to divisional architecture and delivery teams on domain guardrails. Working in partnership with various stakeholders (Heads of Architecture, Architecture Governance, Federated Solution Architects, etc.) to establish a holistic approach to measurements and guardrail effectiveness. This includes the implementation of the necessary tools, ensuring that the guardrails are available and fit-for-purpose and that they support day to day activities in investment decision, identification of areas of strategy that need to evolve, governance, etc. Serves as advisor to senior leadership and delivery teams for a particular business division, divisional architecture or the whole Group on business and technology strategies. Drive the adoption of architecture principles as part of the decision-making process of portfolio shaping, business/technology roadmaps & strategies, technology solutions, change initiatives, etc. Articulates value proposition of architecture to technology and business partners. Oversees ongoing communication of our Enterprise Architecture, driving architectural maturity across the wider architecture community, ensuring guardrails and architectural direction are known and understood, encouraging stakeholders to actively participate in knowledge gathering and sharing. Qualifications & Experience: BSc. in Computer Science, Computer Architecture, or equivalent degree A minimum of 10+ years\' experience in software delivery and operations, technology leadership and architecture Proven experience in the implementation of best practices in consulting, solution development, architecture, delivery, and/or operations Experience of operating in regulated industry, preferrable financial services Experienced with Modern Cloud and Microservice Architectures and Platform approaches. Understanding of cloud computing technologies with demonstrated experience on one or more of the following domains: Azure /AWS Core Platform: Azure BLOB, Azure Data Lake, AWS S3, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, AWS RDS, Kubernetes, Serverless Services, API Management Application development & debugging experience: C/C++/C#, Python, Java, Node.JS, SQL, etc. Azure/AWS Application Development or support experiences with Azure/AWS PaaS services Proficiency with PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages. Understanding of security, risk, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, DORA, NIST etc.), disaster recovery, high availability architectures, hardware, operating systems, and network connectivity Knowledge and experience across multiple architectural domains (business, data, application, technology, etc.) Experience of running / working within an architecture design authority / architecture governance process Experience of engineering governance \'at scale\' Experience of enabling innovation, introducing/driving technology transformation (e.g., through Agile adoption, DevOps adoption, etc.) Experience of Agile and Product Management disciplines Experience of working in a matrixed global organization Experience with OKRs and measurement Soft skills of influencing and partnership Must have excellent interpersonal & communication skills (written and oral) At LSEG, we believe that creating a diverse and inclusive organisation is fundamental to the way we deliver on our promise of creating essential partnerships and open opportunities.
