At Baxter, we are building a best-in-class Reporting & Analytics organization (part of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization). We are implementing a transformative program which will streamline processes, enhance reporting & analytics, and enhance opportunities for personal skill-building and professional growth. This position will report to Director - Reporting & Analytics (Finance, Global Delivery Center) and will work closely with the team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Advanced Analytics team. This position will be responsible for the seamless and efficient delivery of reporting and analytics offerings and support the establishment of meaningful standard global reports to increase efficiency and deliver insights to the organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : You will work with business leaders, their teams, and their various stakeholders to help discover, deliver, monitor, and enhance various reporting and analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate is a natural self-starter who is comfortable working within a cross functional environment, supporting multiple stakeholders and initiatives. You will have a true hands-on approach, strong analytical skills, including the ability to gain true insights from data, and be an effective communicator. Business acumen is a must have and will be most required for this position. Work with various stakeholders in Finance to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business solutions Responsible for strategy, governance, best-practice, standards, security, deployment, integration, management, and maintenance of AWS cloud-based production system. Ensuring operational excellence, reliability, performance efficiency, security, scalability, and cost optimization of AWS platform Responsible for expanding and optimizing data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams. Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing financial forecast/plan Manage and execute entire projects from start to finish including requirement gathering, estimation, project plan, ETL, data cleaning and transformation, project management, synthesis, and dashboard modeling. Lead team of analysts regarding daily activities, Project trackings, career development and long-term goals. Support the delivery of comprehensive management reporting packages for all financial statements, including monthly reviews of budget vs. actual results and variances with P&L / cost centre owners. Experience working in a fast-paced environment, comfortable navigating conflicting priorities and ambiguous problems. Coordinate with different functional teams to implement financial dashboards, models and monitor outcomes. Should have the ability to understand and analyze data for the purpose of identifying trends and providing insights to the various stakeholders to unlock potential value for business. Evaluate and drive continuous improvements/ innovation in reporting/ advanced analytics Continuously focus on building competency in new/future technologies and solutions pertaining to data, reporting and analytics Develop strong functional knowledge and business stakeholder relationship Liaise with the SMEs and Advanced Analytics team to support the automated forecasting & planning Liaise with Reporting & Analytics and Global FP&A organization to develop develop standard set of advacned analytical tools that meet business\' needs and help imporve data quality and assoicated governance Create/Update process flows, technical reference documents, operating manuals, training guides, and standard operating procedures as per needs. Guarantee Global standard and alignment in all reports, processes, and communication. Key Competencies: Proven experience in data engineering, solution architecting and governance domain in a large global organization 3-4 years of relevant and comprehensive experience architectural evaluation, and analysis, designing, integrating, implementing, operating, and troubleshooting solutions using the AWS Native Cloud Services Experience with AWS cloud-native approaches and services like Elastic Cloud Compute, Simple Storage Service, Virtual Private Cloud, Aurora database service, Load Balancing, Auto Scaling and more by working on hands-on projects and case studies. Working experience in data governance. Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages (Python, PySpark, Lambda function, Scala, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets Experience working with various source systems like Oracle, SAP, IoT, Flat Files & Rest APIs integration using Alteryx, AWS Glue, AWS Kinesis respectively Experience working with multiple data ingestion tools & patterns, (e.g., ETL, streaming, change-data-capture (CDC), micro-batches, and self-service data preparation A solid experience and understanding of architecting, designing and operationalization of large-scale data and analytics solutions on Cloud Data Warehouse or Snowflake or AWS S3. Understanding data pipelines and modern ways of automating data pipeline Familiarity with Agile (e.g., scrum, Kanban) and DevOps practices Hands-on experience working with SQL, Redshift/Snowflake, Alteryx, Py-spark, Python, Collibra, AWS cloud services like IAM, Role and Policies, S3, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Lake Formation, EMR, EC2, Athena, Redshift Spectrum, SNS, SQS, Cloud watch. Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using: PowerBI, Tableau, QuickSight Familiarity with cloud-native approaches to data warehousing, including raw data storage, scalable data stores, elastic compute, and support for multiple marts.
