Edible Oil

We source and produce edible oils to meet our customers\' needs. Our portfolio includes palm, soybean and sunflower oils.
Our sourcing, refining, blending, bottling, distribution and supply chain capabilities serve the retail, food manufacturing, food service and personal care sectors. Combined with our advanced risk management expertise and tools we are able to help manage supply and risk for customers across Africa, the Middle East, Europe and Asia.

Job Summary

• Strong communication and co-ordination of shipment / freight related activities
• Sound knowledge on bulk shipping and documentation for both Import and Export
• Expertise in order management activities and E2E Supply Chain experience
• Act as a Central point for Counterparty Validation and Creation into the system through proper screening using KYC documents.
• Should be the Point of contact for all the freight / counterparty contract related activities and address all the audit related queries
• Act as a Centralize base for all subscriptions and to co-ordinate settlements and matching off payments against existing terms and conditions

Contracts Desk:

• Obtaining / Managing data base for all contracts across all units (time charter / voyage charter etc.)
• Co-ordinate electronic signing of contracts with respective traders as appropriate
• Create and manage a database of common flows and questionaries needed
• Complete any KYC forms/declaration required by Olam from our counterparties

Counterparty Validation/Creation:

• Check all new freight recaps / contract for new or existing counterparties (via Freight confirmation process)
• Check all entities are in Softmar, follow & complete MDM + bank accounts requirements and ensuring ethiXbase approvals to be in place promptly
• Commencing MDM screening and counterparty creation in case of onboarding new entity / counterparty
• Any anomalies liaise with Freight Control for remediation

Settlement Coordination:

• Centralized base for all subscriptions and to settlements co-ordination
• Matching off payments against existing terms and conditions
• Seek payment approval once checked off against existing contracts for settlement

Profile Description

• Must have expertise in Contract / Order management (both Purchase & Sales), Handling Shipping documents (Bill of Lading, Packing List, shipping certificates, etc.), Tracking shipments and daily reporting
• Should have good Knowledge in handling existing Counter parties and new counter party creation through proper coordination with multiple stakeholders.
• Expertise in handling bulk charter party contracts pertains to Voyage Charter, Time charter etc. is an added advantage
• Should have experience in handling customer KYC documents, Internal & External Audits
• Working knowledge with Softmar shipping software and multiple ERP\'s is an added advantage
