POSITION SUMMARY:

The role is responsible for all human resource activities for the Pune plant including Recruitment & selection, Training and development, HR Policy administration, Industrial and employee relations. This position also implements HR strategies and policies relevant to achieve the country business objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned beyond the core functions listed below. * Partner with Business for location Manpower planning. Needs to play a Key role in Forecasting the Labour Requirements and plan them accordingly

  • Job posting, hiring, conducting recruitment exams (if any) and interviewing for vacant positions.
  • Maintaining Skill and competency mapping for both Operators and staff respectively
  • Providing weekly reports on headcount, recruitment status to Management. Develop and maintain human resource data bases (IDash, Ipower), records and compile reports concerning personnel-related data such as Employee cost, Budgets.
  • Responsible for positive work climate inside the factory. Ensure Safety and healthy working conditions for employees within the unit
  • IR Relations-Compliance Needs are monitored monthly and need to be taken corrective actions based on the monthly Report. Keep plant union free
  • Proactively identifying and resolving employee relations issues in a fair and consistent manner that protects the needs of the plant to operate in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Responsible for all statutory and legal compliances relating to Human resources in the unit. Administer and explain benefits to employees, serve as liaison between employees, Brokers, TPA and insurance carriers in Life insurance.
  • Plan and coordinate with HOD's for performance management cycle and ensuring it is completed fairly and on time.
  • Develop and oversee Employee Engagement initiatives for the Plant.
  • Provide recommendation, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Plan and maintain succession plan and identify key positions in the organization
  • Any other duties as assigned by the management from time to time
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: The incumbent reports to AGM - HR & IR and support him in all day to day activities to achieve the business objectives of the company

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Requires an MBA(HR)/MHRM/MSW
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in Manufacturing HR partnering role including IR
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Good communication skills, Knowledge of written and spoken English. Local Language knowledge will be added advantage
  • He should have sound knowledge on People development and management, decision, and Problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, within a multi-cultural setting
  • Comply with data integrity and security policies
  • Organized, ability to juggle multiple priorities and flexible to accommodate changing business needs and fixed deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, capable of seeking quality solutions and continuously focusing on process improvements, while keeping the needs of the business in the forefront.
  • Understanding of appropriate escalation points. Works well under pressure, effectively handles conflicts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building collaborative relationships. Team player; proactively able to step in to support other team members as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Domestic travel as per requirement.
