Job Purpose: To plan, implement and monitor manpower, stock, dispatch schedules, operations and systems within the Raw Materials and Finished Goods warehouses so as to meet the company\xe2\x80\x99s objectives and requirements in terms of Cost, Delivery Performance and Services. Dimensions:

Major Challenges: Job Context: Domestic Textiles Business comprises two units:
- Jayashree Textiles, Rishra which has 4 manufacturing entities:
- Flax Yarn/Linen Yarn (approx. 600 Tons/month)
- Linen Fabric (approx. 200 Tons/month)
- Wool Combing/Wool Tops (approx. 600 Tons/month)
- Wool/Worsted Yarn (approx. 200 Tons/month)
- Vikram Woollens, Malanpur with manufacturing of:
- Wool/Worsted Yarn (approx. 100 Tons/month)
Raw Material for these businesses is imported from Belgium (Flax) and Australia (Wool). Customers of the DT Business are in both domestic as well as export markets where many potential competitors are emerging. It is a challenge to predict, plan & organize the logistics not only to achieve timely delivery but also to maintain cost competitiveness. It requires strong negotiations, the will to actively seek out newer technologies and strategize the logistics landscape bearing in mind expansion in future so as to ensure that the customers receives the goods at the right time, at the right price and in the right condition. Supporting Actions
Logistics Planning
Plan Logistics of the entire Business right from ensuring availability of RM for Production up-to Landing Finished Goods at the Customer\xe2\x80\x99s Doorstep- Integrate the process of Billing, Dispatch and Delivery to Customers to ensure seamless transition of information across the channel
- Negotiate with Partners to keep the rates competitive with respect to the market
- Explore and adopt new technology to ensure the Function is ahead of the learning curve
- Preparing monthly Logistics Report to assess performances of Logistics Partners
Cost Control
Saving of Ocean and AIR Freight- Hard negotiate with all Shipping/AIR Lines and Forwarder
- Ensure lowest TAT
- Ensure shortest Route both for AIR and Sea Export
Inventory Management
To ensure timely availability of RM- To ensure timely stocking/replenishment of FG at Godowns
- To prepare stock reports on monthly basis
System Development& Implementation
Developing new systems to improve process performance and traceability- Implement WCM, ISO Standards in the Logistics function by preparing Kaizen reports, Six Sigma Projects etc
People Development
Motivate and mentor team members to improve their skills and knowledge by working with HR team to identify training needs, ensuring job rotations.- Train and Guide team members as and when needed
Requirements:
- Min 10 years of experience in the field of Road transport / Ocean freight / handling of export / import cargo thru CHA.
- Should have handled the multi locational Warehousing activities.
Road Transport :
- we transport about 1000 Tons of cargo thru road on both PTL and FTL mode
- Knowhow of main logistic provider in the country is essential parameters and cost.
- Handling yearly contract and keeping the cost / kg / km fixed despite escalation I diesel prices is the most challenging task at hand.
- Handling various contract clause in order to secure companies interest in worst case scenario,
- Pan India distribution with the best TAT.
- Ensuring the Lost and damage cases are promptly handled thru the insurance / debit route.
- Knowhow of Reverse Auction to fix the lane wise pricing.
Understanding of World Ocean Freight scenario.
- Knowhow of various ocean liners and there strength sectors.
- Ensuring the right pricing of sea freight on all ocean consignments.
- Planning and ensuring No demurrage is paid on all consignments.
- Keep the marketing team updated on various changing scenario in International port - TAT .
- Understanding of process and procedures of Container movement. Booking / Blocking space / Inspection / sealing etc.
Warehousing and 3 PL logistic handling :
- Knowhow of warehousing and handling goods of both Raw material and Finished goods.
- Ensuring all the warehouses are adequately covered thru insurance policies.
- Optimally utilize the WH space across the group.
- Logically flow of material so as to reduce handling cost and handling losses.
- Maintain the WH inventory alongwith SAP stock of all products.
Ensure proper coordination of backend team with the WH team for smooth flow of material flow \xe2\x80\x93 Both inward \xe2\x80\x93 outward.- Maintain the high Morale of team for efficient operation.
- Keep an eye on pilferage and theft.
- Keep looking for better IT solutions for speed and accuracy & efficiency.
