A strategic role to build contract farming for Potato Crop for a Global FMCG Excellent growth trajectory in a high visibility role Implement Raw Agriculture Supply Procurement Strategy (Contract Coverage, contingency planning, Supply Chain Relationship Management, JV, Corporate farming). Ensures achievement of volume target with desired quality, within budgeted Cost and Delivery in time, from allotted areas. Should be a good team member, able to partner with Agriculture sub-functions like R&D, seed programme, supply chain, Regen AG, digitization to have good synergy for implementing company\'s agenda. Understand how potato quality characteristics affects our processing performance and final product quality to improve the yield in ware potato. Utilize knowledge of potato physiology to anticipate and proactively manage potato supply issues. Use potato quality information to anticipate potential issues and communicate to drive actions. Supports R&D for analysis evaluation. Shall be responsible for assessment of region suitability, soil, climate, water, pest & diseases, crop quality and reliability , with R&D Testing new varieties: In each zone, few model plots shall be developed for this purpose. Monitoring each plot (data Capturing and activity closer) with the help of software (CropIn currently) so that business get 95% yield predictability Gather, analyze and interpret crop intelligence information and act on it to optimize crop utilization Provide and receive feedback that creates and enhances relationships, allowing for open communication. Establish and maintain a network of relationships in the Agriculture community. Deliver difficult messages while maintaining relationships Create acceptance of change with growers Develop relationships with other Agriculture sectors, Display empathy and interpersonal skills Seek and receive feedback to provide awareness of impact on others Understand the cost impact and optimize the model to reduce cost (SCA) Communicate local Agriculture market dynamics with the team, Demonstrate awareness and understanding of strategy and direction with team Prioritize and execute tasks in alignment with the overall strategy and business needs Follow established procedures to deliver results Provide regular feedback of implementation progress Understand, escalate and communicate the implications of current actions on the sustainability of future supply Drive employee engagement through employee value proposition, diversity and continuous focus on engagement action plans. Responsible for Mechanization of land preparation, responsible for expansion of new identified region Responsible for suitability, soil, climate, water, pest & diseases, crop quality and reliability, with R&D for potato growing in new territories. Also responsible for the planting, irrigation, harvesting & coordination of cold store filling for new areas. Ensures achievement of volume target in terms of Cost, Delivery and Delivery. Implements best growing & storing practices & technology. This person will also coordinate with 3 P service provider like land preparation. Understand the legal aspects of the business and recommend, act proactively to ensure that our operations are compliant. The Successful Applicant Academic: Must have: B.Sc. Agriculture Nice to have: Post Graduate degree or Diploma in Agri business Management (with specialization in Agriculture). Professional/Technical Accreditations: Must have: Breadth of knowledge in potato industry and agronomy. Team 5 to 10 team members size management. Nice to have: Knowledge of technological advancement for better productivity. Basic knowledge of supply chain and route optimization. Contract farming and or directly dealing with farmers experience.
