Title – Commercial Manager – Contracts & Renewals
Expectations - To oversee IT infrastructure and software related spend for a large outsourced program and consistently deliver 25% savings
Desired Skills -
Must have a decent understanding of IT infrastructure and AMC contracts
Good negotiation skills and vendor connects
Ability to bind and work between finance, contracts, legal, procurement and other teams
Flexible to work in US timings and willingness to travel on need basis
Vendor / alliance management –
Interface & lead vendor and customer discussions
Maintain vendor and service provider relationship
Keep up to date on new vendors and possible cost-cutting partnerships
Review vendor performance and ensure compliance on deliverables
Need to have leadership connect with Vendors
Customer management –
Meet with customer to discuss and forecast on contract novation and budget movement status
Discuss vendor, legal & finance related transactions with customer’s internal teams
Communicate customer asks / suggested deviations to TM’s senior management
Maintain deadlines on deliverables and communicate status through cadence on renewals, contract novation, third party access right agreements and others
Strategic Planning & Forecast -
Review spend before issuing of POs and ensure correct products/services is procured
Develop and implement proactive solutions and cost-cutting measures
Present new strategies and assessments to stakeholders in a compelling fashion
Roll out clear cost-saving programs with timelines and assessment goals
Asses change order pipeline and proactively plan for cost saving measures
Assess transformation projects and track impact to cost / savings
Collaboration / Leveraging larger ecosystem -
Collaborate between Customer’s contracts, procurement, finance & legal teams & TM’s internal teams in order to construct beneficial contracts for all parties
Interface with internal departments such as legal, procurement, finance and alliance
Work in conjunction with all stakeholders to ensure maximum profitability
Educate and persuade stakeholders to procure buy-in and cooperation
Team management –
Must have experience leading a team of 6 – 8 associates
Provide necessary support for vendor onboarding, contract negotiations & payment operations
Leverage / guide both direct & indirect teams to obtain best possible quotes from vendors
