Job Description


The Senior Commercial Manager is responsible for managing and successfully delivering commercial activities for the company, actively market the Business Lines, maintain close contact with them and is aware of their present and future needs. Key responsibilities: I) Increases our proposal win rate and meets business growth and profitability goals by (1) driving winning pricing strategies for strategically important projects, (2) participating in the proposal approval process (if applicable), (3) serving as an escalation point for proposal teams on T&Cs, contractual reviews and pricing strategy, (4) having a certain level of authority on bid/no-bid decisions and pricing, as delegated by regional management, (5) overseeing efforts to develop regional competitor analysis and (6) driving innovation within the commercial and proposal development discipline. II) Works in close collaboration with project management and sales/Business Development teams while simultaneously developing and maintaining strategic relationships with one or more local key accounts. III) Manages a team of proposal management professionals, coordinators and assistants in one or more countries (or single large country) and/or Service Lines. IV) Trains and/or coaches commercial team staff and helps manage their professional development. Qualification and Skills required: 1. 8-10 years of Experienced in marine oil and gas and renewable energy industries tendering, contract review, finance and accounting 2. Thorough knowledge of company’s core business 3. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal 4. Able to lead and manage a team 5. Able to negotiate positive outcomes 6. Excellent influencing skills 7. Be able to anticipate problems and ensure earlier intervention 8.
