JOB DESCRIPTION Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Build, maintain and manage an IT operations team focusing on management and support of Microsoft Azure services on behalf of internal IQVIA clients. Maintain and manage support relationships with internal clients including establishing and reporting on KPIs and service improvement plans. Manage resource rotation, shifts and handovers, and on-call coverage as required to provide required 24x7 support. Be the escalation point during critical issues for internal clients, support team and incident managers. Attract, retain & develop key IT talent including analysts and technology subject matter experts. Manage demand pipeline and create suitable capacity plans to scale for new business. Present service offerings to internal stakeholders/clients and develop service enhancements to evolve Cloud Ops function. Ensure Azure infrastructure compliance targets are achieved or exceeded. Work cross functionally with other internal teams and managers to ensure service delivery expectations are met. Work in partnership with Cloud Centre of Excellence to contribute to and implement Azure Cloud operational standards and best practices across managed resources. Work in tandem with internal Azure Platform team to implement ops tasks. Education, Qualifications & Requirements: 8-10 years of IT experience with a mix of hands-on and operations leadership. Bachelor's Degree required in Science/Engineering - Computing, Information Systems or Electronics preferred. ITIL Foundation certification at minimum, Manager Certification preferred. Azure Fundamentals & Administrator certification required. Other equivalent CSP certification may be considered. Prior operations experience is essential, managing groups of IT professionals distributed across global locations. People management, reporting and presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential to this role. Ability to handle multiple competing priorities from a diverse, global customer base. Prior exposure to life sciences or equivalent highly regulated industry is an advantage.
