As a Cloud FinOps Analyst, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to help optimize the financial performance of all public and private cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and virtualization (VMware). You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that we are enhancing innovation and agility while minimizing costs. What will you do?

  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Provide cost analysis to budget holders to assist with annual budget setting.
  • Assist with cloud usage and/or financial reporting.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial performance.
  • Build and maintain financial dashboards and reports for management and team members.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and implement operational improvements to enhance financial efficiency.
  • Participate in ad hoc financial projects, reporting, and analysis as required.
  • Consolidate handling of all Purchase Orders, service renewals, etc. for the broader Analytics Platforms team
  • Maintain a continuous improvement culture by recommending and driving improvement efforts to internal processes, cost optimization and automation opportunities through ongoing data analysis.

Education:

  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree preferred, or relevant experience.

Experience & Skills Requirements:

  • Experience in an analytical, finance, accounting, or economics role.
  • Cloud Certifications; AWS Cloud Practitioner/ Azure Fundamentals preferred.
  • Basic project management skills and understanding of project management lifecycle.
  • 3+ years of experience with financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software systems
  • Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to work in a distributed/remote team environment where team members may be in different physical locations and time zones.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Excellent communication and social skills, with the ability to work closely across teams.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Listens actively and invites new ideas for exchanged opinions, then influences and acts to drive positive performance and achieve results.
  • Builds effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethical.
  • Deliver results through realistic planning to accomplish goals.
