Reports To Head - Battery Electrochemistry
Place of Posting Bangalore
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
1. Development of battery models to characterize and predict cell performances
2. Knowledge of python, matlab, simulink, equivalent circuit modelling etc. to model a battery and extract the model parameters
3. Testing cell, modules etc along with analysis of data and report writing
4. Work with software team in testing and implementing the models in BMS
Job Requirements
Experience (years)B.E./B.Tech: 3-4 years or more
For M.E./M.Tech: 1-2 years or more
Industry Preferred Battery, Automotive
Qualification
Basic-B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical, Eletrochemical, Chemical or Materials. Preferred-M.E./M.Tech. in the above mentioned domains

Competencies
1. Must have knowledge and understanding of battery performances and how it varies with different operating conditions from cell to pack level.
2. Should have strong knowledge on battery modelling and good exposure to battery model integration at MiL, SiL and HiL level.
3. Should have knowledge and background in electrochemistry and battery/cell development.
General Requirements
1. Vehicle level problem solving.
2. Smooth transition of developed product from R&D to manufacturing team.
3. Familiar with design verification/validation plan, DFMEA, and FRACAS (Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System).
4. Should have excellent written and oral communication skills and on time delivery.
5. High attention to detail, accuracy and precision.
6. Able to prioritize and manage time effectively (self- motivated) and should be a good team player
7. Interface effectively with customers and all functional support groups such as software, quality, manufacturing etc. to facilitate positive results.
8. Closely monitor current industry trends; benchmark competitive products and technologies to ensure Mahindra Electric's leadership position in battery design and technology.
Functional Competencies / Skills critical for the job Should have the followings:
1. Knowledge and experience in the development of MATLAB/Simulnk battery models
2. Good amount of programming skills using python and other languages
