Job Description
Role/ Designation: Deputy Manager/ Manager- Energy System (1D Thermal Model Engineer)
Experience (years): 5+ Years
Responsibilities:
1) Knowledge of modelling battery cooling system components (fan, blower, chiller, pump, heat exchanger, cold plate, cooling line, compressor)
2) Develop battery pack plant models in MATLAB Simulink independently with minimal guidance
3) Need to have experience in building refrigeration/ HVAC circuit models in MATLAB Simulink
4) Need to verify model output data and check whether the results are reasonable
5) Apply basic heat transfer concepts such as conduction, convection and radiation in the model
6) Ability to coordinate with multiple internal teams & testing team to meet the project objective
7) Need to prepare reports that is easy to review and understand
8) Support the vehicle program delivery to meet timeline
9) Come up with new ideas of thermal management
General Requirement:
1. Ability to work closely with the Electrical, Mechanical, Electrochemistry and Embedded Systems (BMS) Team
2. Ability to apply GD&T, DFMA principles
3. Parts and subsystem Integration
4. Automotive vehicle sub system knowledge
Functional Competencies:
Knowledge in thermal system design for EV battery/ drive motors/ power electronics cooling system
Experience in MATLAB Simulink (Mandatory)
Knowledge in understanding 3D CFD results
Experience in CATIA/UG/Pro-E (Not mandatory)
Knowledge in lithium-ion battery
