Job Summary

Analyze moderately complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Configure system settings and options; executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and assists in creating specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Designs details of automated systems. MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance) Works with respective team members and/or management to deliver solutions according to requirements defined and prioritized by VWR’s business. Acts as a Developer between the quality assurance team, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) team, DBAs, operations, and support team to meet milestones in a lean and agile manner. Ensure operational controls are maintained. Perform & report on operating control self-assessments. As part of a project team, performs design, build, implementation, unit tests, and code review. Translates functional requirements into conceptual and detailed designs; Provides estimates for development effort; Implements proof of concept, prototypes, and production-grade software; writes unit tests; fully documents code; and coordinates with testing requirements from QA/Test. As needed and according to agile development methodologies, participate in iterative development including sprint planning, daily scrum, release, and retrospective meetings. Supports VWR’s SharePoint and .NET Applications for major project implementations, enhancements, and break-fix requirements. Assists Operations and Support staff in trouble-shooting software issues as well as implementing bug fixes. Performs other duties as assigned. Design, build and test SharePoint and .NET solutions. Document all system changes in line with the standard processes. Conduct Unit testing of configuration changes and drive integration /regression testing.

Manage activities involved in delivering SharePoint applications by prioritizing workloads as well as providing guidance and direction to other team members. Oversee GNOC network team globally Mentor Network / GNOC technicians on problem solving and troubleshooting SharePoint related issues. Provide operational and technical training to team members. Maintain superior technical skills in an enterprise environment for managing SharePoint, Power Automate, Power BI technologies Analyze and report any Performance issues, recommend and implement improvements globally as needed. Act as Level-2/Level-3 for support issues. Provide innovative solutions. Help maintain accurate inventory of all applications maintained under management. Understands SharePoint architecture and support functions globally Understand VWR’s business model and how Infrastructure & Operations Support directly influences our capabilities to conduct daily business operations. Collaborate with IT Operations Team colleagues on best practice solutions Collaborate with all other Infrastructure & Operations Support Teams to ensure high systems availability, capacity and expected levels of performance. Practice consistent Change Management, Incident Management and Technology Management and in a professional and effective manner. Utilize VWR standard toolsets such as ServiceNow, JIRA and others to track, monitor, repair, and improve network services. Create high quality SharePoint and .NET documentation and drawings and practice disciplined version control Interact with third party network service providers in a professional manner, ensuring consistent

QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience and/or certificates. Minimum 5 years of extensive SharePoint and .NET development experience in a team environment. Minimum 2 years of experience in an agile development environment Experience in interfacing customized solutions, web-based applications, Bootstrap Experience required in Excel micros(vba/vbs) Experience required in any one Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) Good verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate with business analysts/system analysts. Able to comprehend business needs and concerns and integrate that understanding into design and implementation. Experience in UiPath and Python would be an added advantage

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently)

Experience in design, coding, and implementation of SharePoint and .NET applications Specialize in any one-off Object-Oriented development technology Experience in using one or more version control systems for branching and merging such as SVN. Experience with performance tuning (front-end/back-end) Experience working in an agile development process Develop and maintain all interfaces with SharePoint, Power Automate and other core systems. Support business requests ensuring that the organization adopts common approaches in areas where a global perspective and the sharing of integrated systems. Work flexibly to successfully handle multiple issues and tasks, completing them on time and within budget while exceeding expectations. Complete understanding of SharePoint Architecture, systems validation concepts, change control procedures, and full knowledge of both configuration and customization standards are required. Ability to work in a team environment with a positive attitude

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions) Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level. Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems. A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on a routine basis. Minimal physical effort is required.
