Responsible of design and development of technical specification, test and delivery of all network modules,The position requires a highly motivated and hands-on team player with an except ional attention to detail, diligence and a positive attitude. The fast paced development and bespoke target platform provide a challenging environment suited to an engineer who has the ability to quickly develop skills in new areas and liaise with other engineers within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities will include management and direct delivery of body systemaa,A Manage a cross functional global team to collectively deliver all aspects of the body platform on current and future vehicles including aa,A Develop and co-ordinate detailed system specifications for all Body & Chassis features.aa,A Maintain cur rent supply base and establish strategic partnerships to enhance technology roadmapaa,A Responsible for architecture strategy developm ent for next-generation Global Service Delivery Network, Embedded Modem integration, aa,A Management of multiple stake holders. aa,A Res ponsible for developing complex technical specifications at system level and sub-system level. aa,A Works with cross functional groups to develop interoperability interfaces across sub systems and translate them into sub system level requirements for building state-of-the-art connected vehicle systems architecture. aa,A Provide guidance and inputs for feature design verification plans working with requirements engineering teams. aa,A Responsible for managing technical requirements to multiple sub systems and provide guidance on system design and technologies. aa,A Responsible for Supplier Management for HW and SW release as per the vehicle timeline. aa,A Respons ible to perform root cause analysis on issues identified during validation and vehicle buildsaa,A Manage a core engineering test team to ensure robust delivery of all systems and integration sign-offaa,A Manage and execute testing of all software deliveries including overseeing development of all test facilities necessary to validate the full suite of vehicle electronics featuresaa,A Take responsibi lity for resolving issues on current production and development vehicles.aa,A Report on current activities, software status and issues at all levels of the business including executive reporting.aa,A Test customer road cars with the latest features and content before release.aa,A Develop and co-ordinate DVP plans for all areas associated with the Body Electronics commodities.aa,A Lead all aspects of t he future technology roadmap including; technology planning, research activities and business case generationKnowledge / Experienc e - 8-10 Years aa,A Strong technical project management with proven evidence of decision making and accountability is essential. It i s core to the success of our business that these primary roles have the required level of leadership and motivation to succeed;aa,A Pr evious experience of OEM or tier one automotive system management utilising all of the key attributes, with a demonstrable record of delivery of the accountabilities.aa,A Good commercial awareness to maintain a focus on cost, profit, quality and risk.aa,A A strong tra ck record of delivering designs to timing, weight and cost targets.aa,A Supplier management, comfortable with understanding and implem enting DFM requirements within the project scope.aa,A Background in low volume, high performance sports or racing cars preferred.aa,A Do cumentation of Technical Specifications, DFMEA, DVP, Timing Plans, Minutes and Actions of Meetings.aa,A Experience in Automotive proto col: CAN, UDS, OBD-2, LIN.aa,A Knowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SPICE), regarding verification, validation and integration process areasaa,A Project Planning/Estimation and Resource management skills - JIRA/ MS Projectaa,A Experience in Bench Level, Labcar a nd Vehicle system TestingAdded advantage in Android or Linux based IVI system testing.aa,A Experience in project management and defec t logging tools.aa,A Ability to interface With QA Lead Regarding Release Schedules, Training, Testing Schedule Assistance, & Review Te st Cases (soft skills are key)aa,A Able to perform Rapid Root Cause Analysis (RCA) & Troubleshooting of Issuesaa,A Management of a small technically focussed team of engineers.aa,A Experience of the Systems Development Lifecycle (V Model).aa,A Ability to produce formal do cumentation to a professional standard.aa,A Organised, systematic and understand the process of fault finding.aa,A Ability to effectivel y manage time between multiple projects.aa,A Honours degree in a relevant Engineering subject such as Electronics, Software, or Physic s.Competencesaa,A Drive for Results: Demonstrates and fosters a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals.
