Dimension of FunctionThe Safety Electronics team is part of vehicle electronics area and responsible for the Airbag Control Module. As a design, development, technical specification, test, validation and delivery of airbag systems.This position is inside the Vehicle Safety area looking after Airbag Control Module, Occupant Classification System and Child Presence Detection. The position requires a highly motivated and hands-on team player with an exceptional attention to detail , diligence and a positive attitude. Responsibilities will include management and direct delivery.\xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xc2\xa2 Manage a cross fu nctional global team to collectively deliver all aspects of the body platform on current and future vehicles including \xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xc2\xa2 Develop an d co-ordinate detailed system specifications for all Airbag features.\xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xc2\xa2 Maintain current supply base and establish strategic partner ships to enhance technology roadmap\xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xc2\xa2 Responsible for architecture strategy development for next-generation Global Service Delivery Network, Embedded Modem integration, \xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xc2\xa2 Management of multiple stake holders. \xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xc2\xa2 Responsible for developing complex technical specif ications at system level and sub-system level. \xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xc2\xa2 Works with cross functional groups to develop interoperability interfaces across s ub systems and translate them into sub system level requirements for building state-of-the-art connected vehicle systems architecture. \xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xc2\xa2 Provide guidance and inputs for feature design verification plans working with requirements engineering teams. \xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xc2\xa2 Responsible for managing technical requirements to multiple sub systems and provide guidance on system design and technologies. \xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xc2\xa2 Responsible f or Supplier Management for HW and SW release as per the vehicle timeline. \xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xc2\xa2 Responsible to perform root cause analysis on issues id entified during validation and vehicle builds\xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xc2\xa2 Manage a core engineering test team to ensure robust delivery of all systems and int egration sign-off\xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xc2\xa2 Manage and execute testing of all software deliveries including overseeing development of all test facilities ne cessary to validate the full suite of vehicle electronics features\xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xc2\xa2 Take responsibility for resolving issues on current production and development vehicles.\xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xc2\xa2 Report on current activities, software status and issues at all levels of the business including executi ve reporting.\xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xc2\xa2 Test customer road cars with the latest features and content before release.\xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xc2\xa2 Develop and co-ordinate DVP plans for all areas associated with the Body Electronics commodities.\xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xc2\xa2 Lead all aspects of the future technology roadmap including; technolo gy planning, research activities and business case generationKnowledge / Experience \xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xe2\x80\x9c 5-7 Years \xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xc2\xa2 Strong technical project manage ment with proven evidence of decision making and accountability is essential.
