Depending on role and business needs, colleagues will either work onsite, in a hybrid model (combination of in-office and virtual days) or fully virtually. : Marketing Campaigns are critical drivers of American Express strategy to acquire, engage and retain customers. Marketing teams across international need best in class tools and processes to enable flawless and timely delivery of their campaigns to unlock the value for our customers and prospects. The GMDS – International List Execution team within EMPS is responsible for supporting campaign targeting, execution, delivery and fulfillment.
This B30 position will play a key role in driving accuracy, standardization, efficiency and risk reduction in the campaign targeting process for all International markets. The candidate will be primarily responsible for leading the process transformation, operationalizing the change and coordinating the operational control activities through strong collaboration and partnership with key stakeholders within and outside of EMPS.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Operationalize Change: Enable Marketers to maximize benefits of system enhancements/changes and minimize the impacts through analysis, proactive planning, timely & relevant communication, and flawless execution.
  • Process Efficiency: Identify process efficiencies leading to better marketer experience and improve speed to market and bring them to completion by driving the alignment and prioritization.
  • Operational Controls: Improve the control environment by ensuring adherence to the self-audit requirements, coordinating the assessment activities and creating the awareness of the risks, processes etc., within the broader IMO team.
  • Maximize Relationships: Strong collaboration and partnership with key stakeholders within and outside of EMPS
  • The role may require you to manage a small team of upto 2-3 B28s
  • Engage with business partners to gather the requirements, assess the needs/impacts and create/maintain/enhance the documentation related to various projects
  • Delivering all the projects within the established plan and defined timelines
Requirements:
  • Excellent people management skills. Should be able to provide clear directions and support when required.
  • Excellent project management, collaborating & negotiation skills.
  • Ability to tailor communications so that they are appealing and understandable. Ability to convey technical and business information clearly and concisely to groups or individuals either verbally or in writing.
  • Ability to multi task – maintains focus despite interruptions. Quickly re-evaluates priorities based on new information; quickly shifts attention between tasks or projects

Academic Background: Degree in Engineering or related discipline, MBA or equivalent.
