Mission Statement: Technical Project Engineering focuses on a range of engineering disciplines e.g. electrical, mechanical, chemical, civil, structural, automation and software engineering. The activities associated with project engineering include discipline engineering and design planning, risk assessments coordination of resources (personnel and equipment). Business Information The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy\'s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries. Responsibilities: Demonstrate knowledge in the design of MVS, LVS, Diesel Generator, Auxiliary/distribution Transformer & battery system. Knowledge of the design principles and applicable standards used within the technical field of the department. Preparation of SLD, List of loads/load list/feeder list. Responsible for estimating material, equipment sizing activity (Diesel Generator & Auxiliary/Distribution transformer) and cable sizing (LV & MV) . Estimate risks/opportunities and communicate it to the tender management. Provides technical support for FAT, installation and commissioning activities for the HVDC projects under execution (Greenfield as well as brownfield) Understanding the customer contract, technical specifications, local standards, laws and regulations to make sure all relevant requirements are taken care of Prepares project documentation within one\'s scope of deliverables and responsible for obtaining customer approvals for the designs and drawings prepared. Preparation of conceptual cable routing Coordinate with the designer in preparing equipment and cable routing layout. Review of supplier documents Ensures adherence to safety standards. Background: A Bachelor Degree B.E./ B.Tech in Electrical Engineering. Candidate should have 3 to 6 years of experience in Design of auxiliary power for substation/power plant/ Oil and gas. Should have software tool knowledge i.e. MS Office, Engineering Base/equivalent, 3D modelling of auxiliary power equipment and cable routing would be added advantage. Strong interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal communication.
