You will be working as Associate Project Engineer at global grade 15 and will be part of Process Automation business for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Senior Engineering Manager and will be responsible for making technical recommendations in design, testing, installation, and commissioning phases of projects, enhancing customer satisfaction by providing excellent service in the field of RTU, PLC, SCADA and safety systems. Your responsibilities Maintaining a strong network of engineering professionals, sharing engineering best practice across different projects and disciplines to support the development of other colleagues Developing, selecting and applying standard techniques, procedures and tools, reporting inefficiencies and identifying improvement opportunities Interacting with the customer for seeking engineer approvals in a project. Interacting with vendors for evaluating their technical offers and supporting SCM during finalization of vendors Coordinating with service contractor engineers while executing the project, for meeting the required scope in target period Your background Bachelor of Engineering (Instrumentation or Electronics) 3 to 5 years of experience in engineering and commissioning of RTU, PLC, SCADA and safety systems Experience in product pipeline automation projects Working knowledge on interfaces (Modbus, OPC, IEC61850, DNP3.0, IEC104 etc.) Knowledge of networking and configurations of firewalls, router/switches etc., would be an added advantage Preferable experience in oil / gas/ petrochemical plant projects More about us ABB Energy Industries is enabling safe, smart and sustainable projects and operations for businesses across the oil, gas, chemicals, life sciences, power generation and water sectors.
