You will be working as Associate Project Engineer and will be part of Process Automation business area for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Senior Engineering Manager and will be responsible for providing backend support to the engineering team. Performing hardware design and engineering for industrial automation and safety applications in DCS, PLC & SCADA. Your responsibilities Engaging in site survey, discussing with customers, in preparation and finalization of engineering documents, based on project timeline Finalizing scope for bought out items in DCS/PLC projects. Interacting with vendors along with SCM in evaluating technical offers and technical qualification of vendors Preparing own activity schedule in line with project schedule and will monitor the progress, for timely completion Identifying opportunities for standardization, optimization in all aspects of design, engineering & overall project scope Ensuring customer satisfaction during entire project life cycle. Developing and maintaining good relationships with customers and delivers project work with at most focus & quality Keeping up to date on developments in product technology and ensuring high level of awareness on ABB solutions portfolio Preparing standard procedures, check lists concerning the area of work. Documenting learnings and best practices in the relevant field Your background Bachelor\'s degree or diploma in Engineering (Electronics/Electricals/Instrumentation) from a reputed university Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial automation in oil & gas, power or other process industry segments Good familiarity with electrical and control panel designing tools like AutoCAD or E-Base Experience in design, engineering, testing and commissioning in PLC/DCS with specialization in hardware engineering, panel designing and sizing Willing to travel to customer sites for site survey, engineering discussions and for providing during hardware installation More about us ABB Energy Industries is enabling safe, smart and sustainable projects and operations for businesses across the oil, gas, chemicals, life sciences, power generation and water sectors.
