Position Purpose: Reporting to the Director – Finance and Procurement, this role leads the procurement activities for the company covering both the Chennai and Bengaluru sites. This role works in close co-operation with internal stakeholders to deliver their requirements on time at the best value for the company.
Roles and Responsibilities
Manage company's Procurement function covering both Chennai & Bangalore sites covering supplier identification, bid evaluation, sourcing, contracting and post sourcing support.
Develop & implement transformative category strategies for Indirect Spend categories – developing sustainable strategies to maximize value for the organization
Accelerate the process through Automation, Lean techniques, RPA, etc.,
Provide leadership to the team with guidance, goals / target setting and developing the team into better procurement professionals.
Develop, manage, and own function’s policy and SOP
Support internal audits, financial control frameworks audits, statutory audits, third party risk management etc., Initiate and close suppliers risk assessment exercise as per global standards
Maintain vendor and material masters.
Work with other functions to adhere to SEZ rules and provide required procurement support for the same
Liaise with CHA & SEZ authorities for deliveries
Interface with key regional and global procurement SMEs to develop and implement best practices for the function
Develop close relationships and work closely with internal customers to ensure thorough understanding of business requirements
Achieve yearly cost reduction targets
Understand and execute all contracts in line with company’s policies and procedures
Stay abreast of supplier and business trends associated with indirect spend categories
Create and maintain functional reports and dashboards
Requirements
Education Qualification – Postgraduate in Management
Years of Experience – 12 – 15 years’ experience, preferably in a service organization
