About the Department

The purpose of this position is to support Novo Nordisk - India Procurement in three areas of the Procurement activities, namely Tactical Sourcing, Spot Buy, and Procurement Operations. In this position, the incumbent will work in a matrix organization structure having a solid line reporting to Finance GBS (Global Business Services), Procurement - Business Insights & Sourcing and dotted line to the India Procurement Head. Business Insights and Sourcing, team is overall responsible for supporting procurement team with End-to-End Sourcing Project Support, ESourcing, spend analytics, Supplier management, Contracting, Reports and Dashboards.

The Position

As an Associate Analyst -Sourcing (Tactical Sourcing, Spot Buy, P2P) the key responsibilities are:

Sourcing: Driving & manage multiple tactical sourcing projects for the indirect spend areas (Printing, Marketing etc.). Conducting spot-buy for the purchase orders received by the stakeholders. Strong negotiation and communication skills, with a track record of successful vendor management. Proficient in data analysis and utilizing sourcing-related software/tools. Solid understanding of source to contract processes, market dynamics, and sourcing toolbox (RFI/RFP/RFQ).

Procurement Operations: Assessing the cart requisitions and approving the purchases after validation on Coupa. Compilation and reporting of different process related KPIs (GR/IR compliance, open POs, contract and PO coverage, etc.) at regular intervals. Assessment of procurement policy compliance status and approvals workflow. Driving and publishing monthly operations/compliance dashboards.

  • Procure to Pay: Understanding of procurement processes, vendor onboarding, and payment procedures to process PRs.
  • Order management - conversion of PR to PO, support on PO amendments/closure
  • Familiarity with procurement tools - Coupa and financial management system (ICE). Invoice block resolutions.
  • Collaborate with the AP team in facilitating the on-time payment through review and action on the blocks.
  • GR/IR - timely review and action on managing the imbalance through collaboration with end users & suppliers. Manage local procurement policies pertaining to reporting and governance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree from a reputed university.
  • 4-6 years of experience in sourcing and procurement.
  • Prior experience in tactical sourcing, spot buy, procurement operations and P2P
  • Daily Interactions with the stakeholders/business to understand the criticality of the requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to construct and manage RFIs/RFPs/RFQs to drive supplier selection processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to synthesize & communicate data driven insights.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
  • Experience in COUPA or other procurement tools for ESourcing, Contract management & procurement functions will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of relevant legal and ethical procurement practices and regulations.
