We are looking for an Area Sales Manager in Chandigarh to help us develop the tissue diagnostics market by generating funnel and increasing market share to drive geographical expansion in Tier 2 & 3 cities. The role location is Chandigarh and entails working in hybrid mode driving the growth and development of Leica Biosystems Business across Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and J&K.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Promote all LBS products in accordance with marketing and sales strategies to meet needs and benefits of customers. Expand LBS market share with a specific focus on Tier 2 & 3 cities by visiting customers directly and collaborating with distributors/partners to make LBS the first choice of customers. You would also need to manage channels to drive supply and availability of the products.

Major responsibilities we will trust you with:

  • Growth and expansion of sales of the full range of LBS products to achieve annual sales targets for your assigned geography
  • Leverage value selling skills to provide solutions that meet the needs of existing and potential customers
  • Maintain strong partnerships with strategically selected distributors / channel partner (SA, A, B rank) to grow business and achieve sales goals (where applicable in region)
  • Coordinate customer demonstrations, installations and training with Applications & Engineering team
  • Tender management and quotations process
  • Plan and report activities using SFDC including Win/Loss and competitor information
  • Conduct sales activities using basic understanding of DBS tools
  • Qualify leads and create funnels
  • Submit accurate forecasts and present own sales action plans
  • Participate in daily management meeting (QDIP)
Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
  • Bachelor/Master's degree in science preferably with specialization in Medical Lab Technology, Biotechnology or Microbiology
  • Minimum five to seven years of experience in healthcare sector with successful track record of sales/ business development with exposure to government tenders process
  • Exposure to SFDC preferred
  • Willing to travel 50% of the time in the region
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and negotiation skills with a scientific approach for the customers
