About the role:

This position is an account manager position within Diagnostic Manufacturing Account (DMA) India commercial team. This person will be responsible for taking care of allocated Diagnostic manufacturing accounts and achieving allocated sales target. The position will directly report to Head of DMA, APAC and link to DMA India business coordinator with a dotted line reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage allocated Diagnostic manufacturing accounts of India to achieve the annual DX segment sales OP and beat the market growth. Selling cross SLS portfolio to customers directly according to customer application requirement.
  • Act as key interface of customers. Regularly visit/connect with customers to understand customer dynamics, dig out customer demand and manage fulfil customer orders/inquiries. Ensure our appropriate service level to customers with collaboration and coordination with internal supporting functions.
  • Seeding customer pipelines; establish and maintain good relationship with various levels of stakeholders within customer organization.
  • Develop new potential customers and increase Merck's share and presence in the diagnostic manufacturing account market
  • Support marketing function to organize marketing activities to establish & maintain Merck's reliable image as a key DX manufacturing raw materials supplier
  • Use digital tools to track leads/opportunities/seeding pipelines as company requested, like SF.Com. Provide regular forecast and reporting to monitor business achievement and progress
  • Implement business strategic initiatives accordingly

Who you are:
  • Field sales or field marketing experience is needed.
  • Think positively. Self-motivated and good at time management.
  • Communicate (verbal/written/presentation) effectively with customers and internal stakeholders in English. Capability of Influence with impact
  • Good presentation & communication skill.
  • Customer oriented
  • Could work under pressure
  • Ability of travel up to 70% time

Education / Experience:
  • Individual must have a bachelor's degree or above in a biological related scientific field.
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in India life science or DX industry;
  • MNCs working experience is preferred.
  • Major accounts management experience is preferred. Diagnostic manufacturing raw materials selling experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and fluency in local language.
