The Opportunity MassMutual’s Worksite organization is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Business Program Manager to join our growing organization. Reporting to the Worksite Head of Business Process, you will play a critical role in driving the timely execution of project deliverables related to the delivery of platform enhancement solutions ranging from digital transformation, migrations, platform dependency initiatives, to customer experience. You’ll also be accountable for the planning and monitoring project tasks, developing team and sponsor level communications to ensure alignment and identifying opportunities for improvement within the program. The Team The Worksite Insurance business is growing as we aim to reach middle class workers in support of MassMutual’s vision to provide financial well-being to all Americans. Worksite has achieved success in recent years distributing our Group Voluntary and Executive products through our multi-channel distribution relationships. To further this success, we must continue to evolve our strategy to reach more benefits producers and customers, while providing them an enhanced self-service, digital experience to allow us to aggressively grow top line sales. The Impact: As the Worksite Business Program Manager your responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

  • Leads the delivery of all aspects program delivery along with the ability to manage a matrixed team of various disciplines.
  • Handle complex long-term focused projects involving multiple disciplines or business units and vendors.
  • Setting program goals and developing plans to meet those goals for all projects within a program
  • Maintaining project timeframes, budgeting estimates and status reports
  • Coordinating project team members and developing schedules and individual responsibilities
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of project and program deliverables
  • Define, identify, and allocate program resources
  • Implementing strategies that deliver projects on schedule and within budget
  • Using project management tools to track program performance and schedule adherence
  • Conducting risk assessments for program and projects
  • Organizing meetings to discuss program goals and progress
  • Manage all aspects of financials including forecasting, invoicing, and monthly accruals
  • Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines.
  • Drive team to effective decision making when needed, depicting multiple options for how to progress with the project (leveraging RAPID decision making model).
  • Communicating with executives to keep the project aligned with Worksite goals.
  • Work with team to adhere or adjust schedules and targets on the project as needs for the project change.
  • Work with teams and vendors on vendor spend program financials
  • Ability to work with all levels and facets of an organization.
  • Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts.
  • Listen and effectively communicate with clarity, precision, and transparency
The Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7 years of managing and driving the execution of complex projects
  • 3+ years of program management experience
  • 2+ years of agile experience
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, conflict management, coordination, and planning skills with cross-functional teams
  • Skilled in applying judgment to balance process compliance with achievement of business objectives
  • Experience in/working in partnership with technical and vendor teams
The Ideal Qualifications
  • Experience with Worksite or Voluntary Benefits products and platforms
  • Certified PM (PMP) and/or Agile Scrum Master
