Do you want to help students prepare for the cloud-enabled workforce of tomorrow? Would you like to be a key member of the Education team and lead AISPL's effort focused on increasing adoption of Amazon Web Services in Education? You are an innovative, driven, talented Program Manager to help ensure that students are well-prepared to enter the Cloud workforce. The Education to Workforce team is part of Amazon Web Services Public Sector group and is focused on helping students and educators across the world build their cloud knowledge and skills to pave the way for careers in cloud computing. Our mission is to accelerate the integration and application of Cloud content and tools into classrooms around the globe. We work with universities, colleges, and high schools and the educators and students from these institutions.
The TBD will help education institutions incorporate AWS and cloud computing into their academic and workforce programs to help prepare students for cloud computing careers. You will drive implementations at scale by coordinating and amplifying the efforts of multiple education systems (secondary and post-secondary), and then engaging employers, governments, and intermediary organizations across regions, states or countries to support the work.
This team engages with academic institutions and consortiums in a selling and consultative manner to align new and existing academic programs in cloud computing and technology education to the CCF (Cloud Competency Framework) and provide support in launching new and existing academic programs in cloud computing. Much like a Professional Services team, you will work with targeted institutions to close statewide engagements across college, higher education, and high school systems. This team supports the E2W PM through large state, country, and consortium engagements that fit this description. The E2W Team sits in Public Sector (E2W).
This role requires a leader who can be inventive and fearless while balancing operational excellence and program success. Ownership will include deep engagement with core customer segments in particular education leaders, faculty, and employers as well as with internal and external design teams to ensure that The TBD will have an opportunity to impact the way Amazon Web Services engages with the post-secondary community by experimenting with applied models and programming in cloud computing.

Key job responsibilities
Some of the key job functions:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders (e.g. education and government leaders, faculty, and employers) and internal teams (e.g. product, marketing, content, membership, recruiting).
Facilitate regional/national planning and implementation, including needs assessments, strategic planning, adaptation to local needs, and progress monitoring.
Drive successful implementation, including curriculum and program development; educator professional development; employer engagement; collaboration with government, non-profit organizations, and other workforce development intermediary organizations.
Coordinate with other Amazon teams (e.g. AWS EDU sales, Public Policy, AWS Partner Network) to maximize regional impact.
Capture insights and best practices to enhance the model, with an emphasis on efficiency and scale.
Work with India E2W program managers to understand and address programmatic, curricular and UX pain points related to implementation.
Partner with membership team to create and manage feedback systems to monitor implementation needs to support the successful adoption and implementation of AWS in the classroom.
Manage program deliverables within budgetary, resource and scheduling requirements against defined project milestones and deadlines.
Be the voice of the customer, ensuring that their needs are at the forefront of our content efforts and help our team iterate and improve on our content offering.

Travel up to 50 PERCENT , domestic and globally, and sometimes on short notice.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS At least 10-15 years experience with substantial relevant program management experience. Thorough knowledge of program management lifecycle and project management tools. Extensive experience in education leadership, workforce development, public policy, or related experience. Experience in fast-paced entrepreneurial startup and/or corporate culture. Broad experience, across functional and technical areas, designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining large scale projects.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Preferred qualifications
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Willingness to delve in to details, monitor implementation and enablement activity metrics, and determine corrective action. Ability to effectively prioritize in a highly ambiguous environment and within cross-functional, global teams. Experience working on and leading global teams. Experience in education, career preparation counseling, workforce development, recruitment, HR or related field. Experience with and/or knowledge of curriculum development tools and practices. Familiarity with the AWS platform, web services, software development, or related technologies.
