DESCRIPTION
Position Description

The role will reside within Firm Risk Management's Wealth Management Credit Team within the Data Steward Office (with a dotted line into the Credit Team's Reporting Lead).

The Data Steward Office is responsible for data strategy within CRM as well as monitoring data quality for WM products. High-quality data is required for effective day-to-day risk management and reporting. This role will focus on the automation of existing reporting and the creation and automation of new risk reporting across all WM products.

The role requires the candidate to partner closely with WM Credit Coverage Officers, WM Credit Reporting and IT data providers to document reporting procedures, identify required data (and source that data where not presently available systematically) and ensure the creation of those reports.

Primary responsibilities include:

1. Aggregate reporting requirements across WM Credit (including Tailored Lending, Residential Mortgage, Security-Based Lending, Traded Products and International Wealth Management).
2. Coordinate onboarding of incremental data required for reporting across upstream IT data providers.
3. Develop subject matter expertise on the data required by WM Credit and relevant systems that provide it.
4. Support end users to improve their ability to analyze and report on these products.
5. Work with stakeholders to identify the problems and identify data and analysis that will ameliorate those problems.

QUALIFICATIONS
Skill Set
1. Skilled with Excel and Databases
2. Additional coding experience and working knowledge of Power BI and SQL a plus
3. Excellent verbal and written communication, with ability to communicate effectively with senior management across various teams
4. Strong prioritization skills with ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
5. Self-motivated and proactive attitude, with an ability to work independently
6. Experience with Business Analysis, Library Science, Data Governance or Data Quality Management preferred

Qualifications/Criterion
7. Bachelor's degree
8. 1-3 years of relevant experience in Financial services, IT services, risk management, or reporting
9. Experience working with wholesale and retail banking products, e.g. securities-based products, traded products, mortgages, etc is preferred but not mandatory
