The Credit Portfolio Senior Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for conducting credit reviews, credit approval and monitoring the portfolio to identify credit migration in coordination with the Risk Management team. The overall objective of this role is to manage Citi's portfolio exposure to clients and counterparties in India.
Responsibilities:

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Providing independent review and approval of extensions of credit to the allocated portfolio spread across diverse industries.
Exercise independent credit underwriting decisions as per delegated credit authority.
Participate in Audits / Reviews internal, regulatory, etc. Will work with other stakeholders for maintaining data quality/correct reporting.
Lead key business projects and the implementation of initiatives related to policy governance and manage policy exceptions/approvals and entries
Conduct gap analyses and remediation work of any misalignments for policy changes
Provide regular feedback on all initiatives, tracking, reviews and reporting emerging trends and opportunities to senior management
Review and approval of criticized portfolio; formulation of account strategies and supporting remedial activities.
Have an understanding of end-to-end business processes so as to highlight need to have additional controls or need to simplify processes if any.
Monitor the trending of customers business this will include doing independent research on the industry segments, collating feedback from trade and industry leads, meetings with customers, etc .
Assist in implementing the Early Warning process so that credit related trends are identified early-on.
Qualifications:

5-8 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of commercial risk analytics
Ability to apply credit and risk principles toward business goals
Demonstrated ability to synthesize, prioritize and drive results with a sense of urgency
Proven ability to remain organized in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects
Proven interpersonal, organizational and analytic skills
Education:

Masters in Business Administration and/or Chartered Accountant / Master's degree preferred
Education: Any Graduate
